That was epic, I tried to "gutless puke" them to a Cup win, unfortunately my powers of negativity aren't that strong.

Who's getting the $500 bet this playoffs?

the devils will earn themselves a lame playoff spot because of shootouts. 12 extra points. and the season's not over yet.
- hammarby31

THAT is ridiculous and a scathing indictment of the entire stupid concept.

My team tied last night.

Nobody died as a result.

James Neal of the Penguins on NHL36 just admitted he washes his hair only once a week.

If you didn't get a point for losing the game Florida would be 2 points ahead of last place Montreal. As it stands they will be the #3 seed. There is just so much wrong with that I don't know where to start. Florida and the Devils are going to have the longest games in history without a SO to solve the game for them.

IDK yet. I have to see the matchups, and the series odds.

With Crosby back, and the Pens having home ice, they will be a fairly big favorite. Probably something in the -180 range.

There were 3 point games prior to shootouts. The shootout just makes them more prolific.

Fruit Bat tends to be the harbinger of our rival match despairs, though. Man, do I hate his ugly dumb face.

I saw some "old" Crosby last night for the first time since his first game back. His vision and passing were top notch and his timing couldn't be better

time to go stop some pucks. or try to, anyway. hopefully, my game ends better than what we just watched. such an unsatisfying way to end coming back from 3 down. i can't stand the shootout. can't. stand. it.

Being down 3-0 after the first period. I'm very satisfied coming away with a point in the game. Flyers were the better team for 2 periods and the OT. Unfortunately a bad start and dug a hole.

I've done the math several times over the past 3 seasons. SO points don't really affect teams making or missing the playoffs. Maybe the seedings for a couple of teams changes but not making or missing. It doesn't even change much if you go to the 3-2-1 points system. The NHL loves it this way. It's not changing anytime soon.

I agree. The shootout isn;t going away, but it shouldn't count as much as a win.

Still the team I fear the most. Especially if MAF gets hot.

Well Letang is concussed again isn't he? Penguins have some injuries as well.

Somehow Neal continues to dominate and doesn't miss a shift with a broken foot.

I have no illusions of it going away.

But the Flyers didn't lose today, they tied.

I feel the same way when they "win" one of these.
