those were 2 good shots on bob. like i said, spezza's lethal. briere should take a clue and stop with the fancy crap in tight. it hasn't worked the last, what 4 straight chances?
- hammarby31

Agreed, and that move only works on Lundqvist or Miller anyway.

Do you really think that would be all that bad, Flyers are a better team on the road for some reason and they own us at Consol.
- canadianpenfan

against the pens, it's probably a good thing.

Briere has struggled in shootouts, he played a strong game, I didn't mind Lavoliette using him.

I wonder what the odds of losing the shootout in 3 shots are when you score on the first attempt.

What was that from Giroux? You guys don't want the other point or something?
- nfph

They just didn't care...thought they would be generous since the Sens could use the point more then we could.

Oh boy.... Unfortunately I don't think this is going to end well. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm surprised you have a negative view of the situation here.

anderson's 5 hole was literally 4 feet wide. i don't know how he doesn't take the shot there. it's like he decides his move before he takes the shot and sticks with it no matter what the goalie gives him.

I'd don't mind the first two on the road but it's the seventh game that would concern me.
- MrBuzzcut

7th game at home? We normally turn our sticks into sawdust, or whatever the (frank) carbon fibre becomes when you squeeze the snot out of it.

Clude. What the heck was that?
- 77rams

The guy has made some brilliant moves. But that one was a puzzling choice.

If I were Briere, I would've gloved the puck and tried to dive through the 5 hole.

Bob isn't going to make a save in this shootout.

i had no issue with him being used either. he's one of their better shooters, and he's definitely picked up his game. i just wanted him to wire it.

the odds are probably low, but the flyers have lost that way a number of times over the years.

Giroux is at his best when he gives himself options and just reacts to the goalie, he didn't give himself any options with that move.

my fave sequence of wrongness from you was when the "gutless pukes" made a run to the finals in 010

It has zero to do with being right or wrong. If you give a negative guess on the outcome, which is what it was, a guess. Sometimes odds are your going to be right occasionally. I like to root and believe in my team and think that good things are going to happen.

we are very good in OT, im not worried. shootouts are (frank)ing lame. that overtime today is what hockey is all about. also, I hate losing to the scrub sens. tomorrow should be a doozy

i remember them throttling the leafs 7-1 or 2 in game 7 at home back in '03. and they beat buffalo in 7 last year. don't remember any other game 7's at home in between. i know they've dropped a few game 6's when they've been down 3-2 at home, including the pens in 09, and the hawks in 10.

Flyers are 7-2 in OT. Shootouts stop being a factor in a week or so.

That was epic, I tried to "gutless puke" them to a Cup win, unfortunately my powers of negativity aren't that strong.

I would have a heart attack every time Malkin or Crosby touched the puck.

the devils will earn themselves a lame playoff spot because of shootouts. 12 extra points. and the season's not over yet.
