A young Lindros could get 70+ goals and 150 pts. in this league the way it is now.

Still my favorite player of all time.

- DrMidnite

Some people try to say Getzlaf, or Ovechkin, are "Lindros" like players. But they are not.

Lindros was an aberration, a freak, something that we may never see again. He was an enforcer with little man skills. A huge man who used his size like a hammer, and had the skills and the hands comparable to any player in the game.....better than most.

I hated the way things ended with the Flyers and could not be happier that he is back in the fold. I will go to any means to be at his Flyers Hall of Fame ceremony next season. (you KNOW there will be one)

Nice win.

I tell ya, of the video I saw of Lindros from yesterday, he was really busting it out there. The guy can still play. It is too bad his injury problems forced him to retire because he was the most exciting player I ever saw. And his skills, even after years from the game, were and are still evident in abundance.

Ahhh, what could have been......

- MBFlyerfan

I was trying to think of the top 5 players I enjoyed watching play for the Flyers the other day. 80;s to present so that takes out Clarkie and Bernie or even a guy like Macleish, Schultz, etc

1) Eric - that one was easy for me
2) Hextall - he was entertaining to say the least
3) Forsberg - yes he only had about 100 healthy games with the Flyers but when he was healthy, he was amazing to watch. I still remember him single handedly winning 2 games against the Sabres in the playoffs and the amazing goal he scored when he controlled the puck circling the net
4) Tocchet....loved watching that 85 team...all the rookies and watching them grow. esp tocchet.
5) Howe - the greatest Flyers dman

1) Eric and John, and throw in Renberg - just dominating. I've always enjoyed Leclair's back seat approach.
2) Sad but crazy cup 80 teams, Pelle, it showed how true a team can be a family. I was in my teams...good teaching lesson
3) Poulin - heart and soul of those teams
4) Howe - HOF, class act through and through
5) Preems - How he became a leader on this team...

Not in any order...

The best thing about twitter is the brevity.

Okay, that's maybe the second best thing, after the ability to pick and choose who you read.

Great game last night. The cold guys are putting up points. It would be nice to get Couturier, Talbot, and Jagr a few goals before the playoffs to make sure everyone has confidence going in against Pit.

Here is to the -1 Bobrovsky shutout. He played a good game yesterday. This is just an observation, not a criticism, but does it seem like Bob has lost some of his lateral movement. He doesnt seem as quick post to post as he did last year. I could be wrong.

- RooNosHockey

I don't see that as a problem at all. He's one of more athletic goalies I've seen.

Researched it myself on Flyershistory.com. It did not take long to find seasons where the Flyers had three Czechs on the team and then search to see if there were any with one scoring a goal assisted by the others. Plenty of goals with one fellow Czech assisting (either sole assist or with a non-Czech player drawing the other helper) but last night was the first three-pointer on the same play.

Bertuzzi would have actually been a close match if he had of played a more consistent physical game. Very silky mitts for a big man. Forsberg in his prime is also a comparable for me.

Nobody could physically dominate the game, and offensively dominate the game the way Lindros could. Forsberg and Lindros was similar offensively, but in physicality Lindros blows him away.

Well then he'd have a real problem. It's only 8:17 in the morning where he is.
