Burke will never, ever, ever trade Kessel. Lets say for arguments sake, he trades Kessel for Schenn and a 2nd.
He would have traded two firsts and Kessel for Schenn.
Anyone he trades for becomes a TOTAL overpayment because in all likelyness he wont get a steal of a deal when trading Kessel. So unless he gets an offer that counters his original two firsts and a second in addition to moving your best scorer who is 24....Kessel wont ever be moved.
Atleast not for years. - noename09
Think Kessel will sign an extension in Toronto?

Fire Carlyle, bring back Wilson. - Leafland
Dont worry....dont worry....were tanking without Wilson!! |
|

Seriously, can it be anymore obvious these guys are tanking. Both goalies "hurt", Kuley goes down 2 weeks ago, playing Ashton on the first line, less then 20 shots every game. - Leafland
Could it be that it's simple a bad (frank)in team??....They not trying to lose ...
They stink. |

I watched the GI Joe movie last weekend, hadn't seen it before and basically just heard it sucked. It sucked. But... has there ever been a movie that ripped off more aspects, scenes, themes of the Star Wars sage than that movie? |

Inthe offseason, the Leafs should try to acquire a guy like Commodore. The defenseman is not really what they need, but the guy, or a similar type of guy, might be. This team just needs someone to lighten it all up for them. They look defeated as men. That's not a good thing. I'm a Sens fan first, but a hockey fan second and it bothers me to see any team just look so broken down. This team had some much promise early on and its clear that it isn't fun to play this game anymore. A guy like Commodore makes everything fun and if going to work is fun, then they wouldn't put so much pressure on themselves.
They're too good to be this bad right now. - Lohaus
I actually starting laughing out loud because I thought this was one of your little jokes
But I don't think it is |

*honestly?
If this team isnt competitive and shooting for a strong playoff spot in two years, then why would he. I honestly believe the team will be competitive again in two years and will entice Kessel to want to resign. Either that or we win the cup in two years and we can let him walk. |

I find it hard to believe, they held a playoff spot for 80% of the year. They got down and started pouting, lost Lupul, which is showing how important he really was to this team. |

I didn't watch that travesty of an 80's action figure. The chick looked hot in the trailers though. |

the team needs to mature, all of them and especially a few of our defensemen who havnt had great coaching with respect to systems. A summer and remaining season with Carlyle should help restore this.
but with respect to bringing in players...the FIRST new acquisition needs to be a goalie. So unless Commodore is some goalie I havnt heard of yet who is supposed to be spectacular, I disagree. |

I tried to sway away from the player, and I did mention I wasn't referring to him as a player, I meant the guy... but I think everyone knows Commodore and how he is around everyone. I couldnt think of another player who is universally accepted as a team guy that everybody knows and likes as a fun dude. - Lohaus

The Leafs major needs are for sure a #1 goalie and a #1 center. I'm not sure how easy either are to acquire though. The Sens tried for years to get that goalie. We luckily have the center.
... I now regret saying Mike Commodore. I didn't mean the player. |

let me say one thing....the 80% of the year was like constructing a bridge and using duct tape to secure the joints. Eventually the weak parts of your bridge will be exposed and then everything starts to fall.
We had some solid duct tape in both Gus and Reimer this year, with the addition of some vets/defenders. |

Would it be safe to say if the Leafs had a true number 1 goalie, that Ron Wilson would probably still be your coach? |

OH GOD....youre right. OH GOD.
Man, this team would have likely made the playoffs with a legit goalie imo...and we'd still have Wilson.
DEAR LORD....maybe this year was a blessing in disguise!?!?? |

And the Habs will pass us....... Edmonton will draft a Defensemen, and we will have our choice of Grigorenko or Galenchyuck, in which we will trade along with Schenn and Kadri or Colbournei, for Getz and Anaheims's first...... in which we will use to draft Gaunce - faceto27
Oh is that whats going to happen? |
