It's been 4 years for Burke. We have missed the playoffs every year (and the 3 years before that), and we have not even 1 blue chip core prospect that he (or his predecessors) have drafted. That is fact, my friend. Don't tell me about depth. What we have is prospect width - lots of average prospects. - triggermartin
Kadri is not? idiot. |

E-X-A-C-T-L-Y!!!
The Leafs are NOWHERE NEAR deep enough, ESPECIALLY AT CENTER that they should be turning their noses up at Kadri.
I'm not saying Kadri is the Leafs' Saviour or any BS like that, but Cherry was BANG ON when he said that the Leafs have mishandled Kadri. - As_I_See_It
Was Kadri not in the line up yesterday? and the game before?? |

No, but we have loads of average prospects! - triggermartin
Don't know yet the grade of prospects we have, elite, no but give them some time to develop, one or two can or may surprise. |

its funny, because if the Leafs had a legit goalie this year, we could have very well made the playoffs and the exact same roster would have been considred MUCH better.... - noename09
LOL no poop, thats the best part
this brings out all the negative leaf fans, u know, the average depression cases who can use the leafs last 25 games to guage the entire season.
kessel + lupul + grabovski + gardiner
those are 4 huge seasons for each of the respected players.
morons are blinded by a late season meltdown. |

Alright, Kreskin, what's the plan? - triggermartin
Oh you dont know??
He is going to follow your foresight |

Kadri is not? idiot. - big_dion
I think you should take a look at the people drafted in Kadri's draft year who are playing regularly in the NHL. And Kadri is a blue chip prospect who will be part of the TML core? Really? |

NOPE! |

I hope so. He'll be out of town, then.
I guess you don't have any insight then, considering you were on about "Part 2" of his plan, and all that? |

oh ya for sure...I completely agree and would have been on board with that.
But that wasn't Burke's plan and you know it.
That's the point. - Fakepartofme
yes, but regardless of what he said he hasnt traded off prospects for aging players
you can do both at once ya know. |

You have youth, but not elite youth. One or 2 may turn out to be good players. The rest role players. I think the problem is, the leafs are in a position that they arent bad enough that they will get great picks going forward to get the stud in the draft to fit your future depth youth, and your team isnt good enough now so that your youth can come in a support the team to a deep playoff run.. Your stuck in middle ground, and it is tough to get out of there... |

When you know what you say is going to get you a ban and you say it anyway... Is the ban twice as long? |

Holy shit, what has half of the damn team done to "deserve" playing on the Leafs?!?!?!
I'd rather have Kadri playing on the Leafs before:
- Armstrong
- Connolly
- Lombardi
- Rosehill
- PHILIPPE DUPUIS who played 30 games!!!
At least Kadri brings some creativity, a little grit and is great in the shootout! - As_I_See_It
Im in charge of developing players. I want to
a) Leave my prospect to play with a winning/successful team while developing his own game and getting stronger
b) Pull him up in the NHL on a losing team when hes not fully ready and expose him to the crazy media and losing streak that was the Leafs.
But youre right...the "Leafs" needed him right away....made no sense to let him develop some more on a winning team....we needed him really bad to try and make the playoffs.....? |
