5g being up and down this year over 20 some odd games - if u extrapolate that - with consistent minutes, routine etc - he would have hit 20 this year - MTL1
Plus he hits for a skinny kid, goes to net, he is fisty, draws penalties, and his best assest (his creativity) hasn't even been used yet because he played with Lombardi and Crabb.
Kadri is a passer first type player.

ok bud, let me ask you this...do you think seguin would be the player he is in Boston if he played in Toronto?
choose your words wisely! - big_dion
No, he would not. But he is a franchise, core player to build around. Kessel will never be that player. Oh, and the whole Dougie Hamilton Jared Knight part, too. Yeah. |

He has essentially admited so........ he fired Wilson, that was Part One
Part Two, is this summer - faceto27
He hasn't done sh!t.
Firing wilson was nothing, 2 weeks after he did that, he had a press conference saying that he believed in this team and they would turn it around. You could tell it was BS then.....and it most certainly is now.
Time for him to be honest and face the music. |

Oh I do.
But it's nothing to brag about or stand behind.
If they were young high end talent...than sure.
But their average talent with a couple of bright spots that may or may not pan out.
So their young question marks....great....how many years do we stand behind "this is the _ youngest team in the league". - Fakepartofme
dammit man.. how fast do you think a rebuild should go?
its a 5 or 6 year process.. burke just finished year three |

Eakins has done wonders for Kadri from what I have heard.
Kadri will be in the lineup all next season, keep in mind Wilson was not a kadri fan. - big_dion
Cause he told you this personally? |

the majority of Burke's draft picks are still playing junior hockey...... Jesus - faceto27
i know.. people want to rebuild and not trade away prospect depth then when the leafs do just that they complain they arent competitive enough
and let me guess someone will reference the "not interested in the 5 year rebuild" comment next..
the naysayers are horribly predictable |

But that wasn't Burke's plan and you know it.
That's the point. |

It's been 4 years for Burke. We have missed the playoffs every year (and the 3 years before that), and we have not even 1 blue chip core prospect that he (or his predecessors) have drafted. That is fact, my friend. Don't tell me about depth. What we have is prospect width - lots of average prospects. |
|
|
|
And it is considering his plan....thats what you guys dont get.
If Burke had said, we are going to build properly so we are going to have 4 years of being low in the standings....than no problem. That's the plan.
But it wasn't
It was the opposite, gonna rebuild and make forward strides at the same time.
The rebuild is taking baby steps forward...that's good.....but the forward strides with the team....that has completely failed.
So according to what Burke has so stubbornly stood by....14th place.....is a massive failure. - Fakepartofme
its funny, because if the Leafs had a legit goalie this year, we could have very well made the playoffs and the exact same roster would have been considred MUCH better.... |

Part of the reason Kadri isn't in the NHL has a lot to do with him chirping everyone else who is obviously the problem. It isn't a secret. Its been the issue with him all along, even in junior, and might never stop being the issue. |

Ohh yeah much better... didn't Toronto get 3points out of 4 last week with Kadri in the lineup and weren't they playing okay in January with Kadri in the lineup.
If Frattin played such a good checking role why did we give up 7 goals last night and just keep on getting smoked for the last 2 months with Frattin in the lineup? I'm not blaming it all on Frattin but if Frattin was as good as someone like Bolland/J. Stall/Dupuis as a 3rd line checker, things would be different. - HipHopisDead
E-X-A-C-T-L-Y!!!
The Leafs are NOWHERE NEAR deep enough, ESPECIALLY AT CENTER that they should be turning their noses up at Kadri.
I'm not saying Kadri is the Leafs' Saviour or any BS like that, but Cherry was BANG ON when he said that the Leafs have mishandled Kadri. |
