Here's a question for you guys:

What to do with Tropp? I don't want to send the kid down, or even to drop him down to the fourth line. He's played his heart out, but he's obviously low man on the totem pole. I'd rather have Tropp in there than either Gerbe or Hecht, both of whom may come back at some point really soon. I think his effort has really opened up more room for Vanek, and he's shown some skilled hands that I didn't expect from him and haven't really seen from many prospects in the last few years, other than Ennis.

IDK either... I really think that Tropp is better for this team right now than Gerbe is as well.

I don't even know what the lines look like anymore really.

Leino - Roy - Pommer
Foligno - Ennis - Staff
Vanek - Hodge - Tropp
McM - Boyes - Kaleta

??

I think Gerbe only comes in if McM doesn't play one night. You can't mix up how lines are playing right now.

I hate to say it, but Gerbe will have a lot of work to do to stay on the team in the future. I think teams figured out that he's not your average small guy, that he's as strong as anyone else, but his size is still a huge disadvantage. I'm sure the concussions had a lot to do with his mediocre play this year, but still, with guys like Tropp and Foligno coming up that have the size and a similar amount of grit, it'll be hard for him in particular. I feel bad, he's got a good story, and has always proved doubters wrong, but for a guy his size, he'd be better off working on a Marty St. Louis type skill set. I think that's the only way to be successful in this league at that size.

I've said for a few weeks now that I think Roy, Gerbe, and/or Adam will be traded at the deadline to either move up or for a better Center.

It'd be a nice tribute for the Minny fans, only thing is that Dallas is the Stars. I think they're running with the new identity.

I think it's a situation where you don't fix what ain't broke. That being said Hecht is a favorite of Lindy's and he'll trust him in the playoffs (an assumption of course).

Return of Quebec... I actually like this unis..

HOWEVER.. there are too many light blue and dark blue teams already.

I was curious of the whole Phoenix might be moving to Seattle's new arena or Quebec thing so i am looking at concepts..

Seattle Totems, and Seattle Metros... both horrible.

Dave Molinari ‏ @MolinariPG Close
Participants in Penguins' optional game-day skate at First niagara Center: Vitale, Park, Tangradi, Jeffrey, Niskanen, Despres and Fleury.

Might be a bit until the goalie situation is clearer.

I kinda like the looks of these actually..

But I'd rather see Toronto win the Cup than see another French-Canadian team in the league.

I wouldn't mind if they kept the fleur de lis at the bottom of the jersey, but those are downright ugly.

Anyone hear Bettman on the NHL hour with Darcy yesterday? A caller at the end mentioned the Quebec arena thing, and Bettman seemed pissed that they made an announcement about it, because Phoenix is about to be in the playoffs and now there's another bout of unrest in the locker room. I agree. Team or no team for Quebec in the future, they should have waited until after the season for that announcement.

That's not real, it makes no sense. It's the same exact jersey apart from the colors and shoulder patches. They painted the damn arena to make it fit the blue and gold color scheme, no way will they go to a jersey that doesn't have blue and gold.

Ya haven't heard anything. The new logo looks like a god damn cartoon character. Love the new heritage jerseys tho. Grabbed an Alfie one as soon as they came out.
- SENS 613

Is that what your third jerseys are being called? Those are pretty cool, but I just like any jersey with the eggshell white. I agree that your current jerseys are bad, not buffaslug bad but theyre close

I have a Caps fan friend (ironically) that does great Mike Lange impressions.

Edit: Are the Caps and the Pens even rivals anymore? I think Ovie got tired of the whole thing and getting beat and succumbed to mediocrity.

Agreed, I would hate if we went back to the black and red, even if it was just for a third jersey. Sabres colors are blue and gold, and I hope they keep it as that

I guess so. At the very least one will always be fabricated because of 87 and 8.
