Chiarelli was a players agent. Also, after his NHL career, Gillis was an agent too. Damphousse knows the CBA inside and out and had a brilliant career as a player.
- Pecafan Fan

He's never steped foot in an NHL front office, he's not the guy. Plus he's in court in November for assault charges against his Ex. I could see him as part of the group, but not GM.
The fact you would consider him over PK just shows it's about dislike and not actual potential.

(frank)tards like QP amaze me with their Damphousse boner. Assistant? Sure.
Brisson is not a candidate, that's BS.

- Jayden

Not just Brisson, also Alan Walsh. Just horrible. I also hate the way the media seems to be trying to shove McGuire down MTLs throat. Seems like they want him out of their ranks or maybe they've all heard him blather about it for so long they just want him to do it and shut the (frank) up. Might have to take a Habs hiatus if he gets the job.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hired a guy like Bergevin who's got plenty of experience and team him up with a former habs player à la Damphousse.
- Pecafan Fan

He is the guy I would prefer. He and Damphousse would be good in my opinion.

he failed and jumped ship as soon as he got an offer.
He's no better than that Italian cruise ship captain.

JP Barry - he's went to U de Moncton Law School and Brisson's agent partner.

Bob Gainey. Great player..poop GM.
Mike Milbury. Played his role well in the NHL. poop GM.

the most highest example I can give you......WAYNE MUTHA (frank)ING GRETZKY!!

- Habssuperfan77

Gainey won a cup as GM in Dallas, i think it's a stretch to say he's a poop GM.

He worked for the NHLPA.

He's as qualified as Rejean Houle.

After graduating, Burke became an NHL player agent. In 1987, he was hired by Pat Quinn to be the Director of Hockey Operations for the Vancouver Canucks. In the 1992–93 season, he left that job to become General Manager of the Hartford Whalers. Burke stepped down
- BingoLady[4] after one year in Hartford, so he could join the NHL front office as executive vice president and director of hockey operations, under league commissioner Gary Bettman.

Zzzzzz

Just saying I doubt he'll be Savard's favorite.

fine. He was good in Dallas.
What did he do after that?

I like how someone can be called good at something, when they had ONE successful run and won ONE championship or got a high honor or achievement.
