Chiarelli was a players agent. Also, after his NHL career, Gillis was an agent too. Damphousse knows the CBA inside and out and had a brilliant career as a player.

So Damphousse or Pat Brisson are two candidates to take this team and bring it back into the winnings ways???

Damphousse has never had a front office job...hell, he has never even coached a day in his life, but he will know how to run this team.

Brisson is a (frank)ing agent, for (frank) sakes.....how the (frank) is he qualified to run a hockey organization???

I'm pretty good at ball hockey and dissecting our opponents strategy, does that make me qualified for the Habs head coaching job????

Just hire the best, EXPERIENCED, clever minded candidate and be done with it..

If I have to hear this poop for the next I dunno how long until he gets hired, my head will explode!!!

Brisson, I don't understand it at all.

Damphousse, well, as assistant GM I wouldn't mind. He has some experience with the NHLPA.

As long as it's not Pierre Mc(frank)ingGuire.

(frank)tards like QP amaze me with their Damphousse boner. Assistant? Sure.
Brisson is not a candidate, that's BS.

He's no worse than most. The main problem is you just don't like him. I can understand that.

Just proves how dumb people are who vote on that crap. Guy has done everything for the Blackhawks and is an excellent choice.

After graduating, Burke became an NHL player agent. In 1987, he was hired by Pat Quinn to be the Director of Hockey Operations for the Vancouver Canucks. In the 1992–93 season, he left that job to become General Manager of the Hartford Whalers. Burke stepped down[4] after one year in Hartford, so he could join the NHL front office as executive vice president and director of hockey operations, under league commissioner Gary Bettman.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hired a guy like Bergevin who's got plenty of experience and team him up with a former habs player à la Damphousse.

Same here...They will bring in a guy with experience and most likely ask him to pick an assistant that is a bit greener. I would not be surprised to see Brisebois (Julien) with Damphouse as AGM
