Just out of curiosity, how many years do you plan on spending in university? - braidan
I did not finish Cegep (not even a year, I worked and travelled and paid taxes...).
I studied a year "aux adultes" so I could get in my 4 year bachelor's degree, which I am finishing this year.
So 5 years total.
I might do a Masters degree if I don't get the job I really want this summer.
Good enough? |

Didn't mean anything by it, was just curious.
In your experience is it common for students to spend 5 years +, what is the shortest time, without going nuts, to get a degree? |

I don't necessarily have a problem with Harper, but he's not doing much to help out the country in these hard times. The mission of most politicians, make it look like you're doing something while disturbing society as little as possible.
Unfortunately, Harper is following this while the country needs some real action in order for us to not end up where the States now are financially.
Sorry for my political rants, but I lost my 2nd income today thanks to Government cuts while they get to keep their great 6 figure bonuses. - kev1586
Sorry about the job man. It's not our fault the US (frank)ed up the world econemy, with their loosened lending practises. Which made our dollar stronger, which (frank)ed up our exports, mostly from the east. |

I don't give a (frank) about what the CLASSE, FEUQ of FECK say. They are for the most part (frank)ing clueless idiots who just want to prepare their eventual political career. I'm not forging my opinion on anything they say. - _nay_
Your opinion is based on what little life you've lived. Gov't accountability is a big issue right now and I agree that it is a worthy protest based on that factor alone...if that were the root cause of it. I would be more inclined to support students were they marching because of the abuse of govt tax (of which few students have paid any) usage with regards to healthcare or infrastructure investment or competitive job creation. I find it difficult to sympathize with students that are moaning over a raise in tuition fees that still maintains them as the lowest in the country. |

I meant by choice. As long as you pass 4 courses a semester they ley you stay. I can't remember if it's 14 semesters in total you can stay or 14 semesters in one program. And some people take advantage of that. |

Pfft, i got kicked outta preschool. Someone thought they could steal my general lee dinky car, i convinced them other wise with one of those wooden block with all the numbers and letters on it upside the head repeatedly til he gave it back. Teacher was not ammused, parents were there before his ambulance. I didnt go back to pre-school, and he didnt eat solid food for about 5 months.

Cegep is another question.
I know people who take 5 years to complete a 2 year master.
Degrees usually last 3 years. |

I say this because it seems as everyone else in every role and job is accountable for their actions or in-actions, but less and less the governments become accountable for anything they implement, do or say. Or it is at least how i see it. |
