Dude, Free tuition costs maybe 1/1000th of what the government was losing per year in taxes on trades and sales unregistered.

He'll look good in Reading competing for the ECHL cup. That's very important for a franchise and a sign they will be successful in the future. |

I know, but it's mostly why their economy crashed.
You can't have deluxe government jobs and little to no money from the taxes at the same time.
Just like you can't spend more in the army, the prisons and corporations while receiving less from those said corporations and the tax payers.
That's why they are cutting public jobs right about now. |

M'eh, trying to bring the education debate here is useless.
All these guys care about is their wallet and they think students protest because they have the same concerns.

Yes, Education is a small cost, but the point is what your generation is missing. You want things for free. Things don't come free. It must be paid for. Education, Healt Care, Roads, Everything.
Even with this increase, it still is dirt cheap for what that education actually means.
All of your friends that don't make the money your dad does, they will get loans. The loans are interest free over 10 years. It's going to be a $50 monthly payment. By then, getting the same job with education today as the job you will after your graduation will have a higher base salary much more than $50 per month due to inflation.
If everyone has the same free Economic 101 as you, shouldn't they know this?
No instead since 50% are going to drop out anyway, they take this as an opportunity to stay home and do nothing. Wasting a simester of the ones that want to graduate this summer.
This is selfish BS and you should slap yourself. Now go to school or talk hockey. |

You also shouldn't give free education when you don't have the revenue to cover the essentials |

Good job getting Savard involved. Thank god Gainey is gone! Great player, good person but a terrible talent evaluator. |

Molson said all the right things, perhaps. But his hand-picked head of the job search committee said a lot of the wrong things right afterwards. |
