They will be back next year, it's the end of the worst season pretty much ever, no one is going to be around for it.

You really think people will give up their season tickets? Also don't they have a waiting list on season tickets like TO, I assume it is not as big but i thought they still had one.

It's 10 years long, I've been on it for 2 years, and still am like 1000th on the list.

Savard can say whatever he likes, but I suspect he will continue to be involved in the operations of the team moving forward.

And handicapping your GM selection before starting the process is stupid.

What a farce.

This...

for once we agree on something.

Quick say something else so we can disagree and restore balance to the hockeybuzz universe.

As a coach, or a GM ? With the rights assistants, i think he could handle the head coach job. So far he has done pretty well year in, year out with the Remparts. What make you think he can't do it?
- Habsody

I am just more concerned at how this might turn into a media circus, in a bad way, for the team. Especially if they are not mildly successful out of the gate.

What is the percentage of seats that they allow to be sold as season tickets?

People don't like his character.

One thing is for sure though, he will never allow anyone to float like Gomez did on his team.

Most of the players that have played under him really liked him as a coach. And the only guys he called out in the media were guys who didn't give their 110%, like Kugryshev a few years back.

He's known to be harsh on goaltenders though.

No idea.

Anyway it doesn't change much because they are so expensive that people usually sell about half the tickets and make profit with it.

That's what I plan to do too.

So most of the people in the stands are usually guys who go there a few times a year.

It's more of an event to go. Rather than a habit like it used to be...

I think you might get lucky next year. I have a friend that buys tickets int he reds everyyear for resale. he's had them for 10 years. This year, it's been a disaster and he doesn't think he will be able to renew next year.
I think there are a few people like this.
As for me, I jumped on the list 3 years ago for my company (reds). In the first month of being on the list, I got 8 Lodge offers. The following summer, I got my tickets. I guess major companies jump ahead in the list. Unfortunately, I only get to go to 3 or so games a year.

Easier to call out teenagers hoping to one day make the NHL in media than NHL'ers.

I agree, on the other side i believe that Roy could take some pressure off the players shoulders as well. His ego can be a concern but it's also the reason why he has been successful everywhere he went. And hockey-wise, he is among the best candidates...

I have thought about doing that here, and bought a mini pack this year, but all the poopty games no one wants to buy, espicially if you don't buy 2 seats. So I was stuck with the games I couldn't make it to.

Yeah I can't wait to get them man... And unlike those scalpers, I won't sell them for twice or more the price. I'll make sure I'll sell them to at least make up for what I paid...

I think Roy will do well, if he chooses to be part of an NHL team.

I just think expectations will be too high in MTL and that if things go sour, we can see another "I've just played my last game with the Canadiens" mentality creep in again.

To your point, maybe his determination and presence does help some aspect of the team beyond just being a coach or GM. But I am not sure of that is a reason to hire him over other potential candidates.

If him or Bylsma happened to be avi, I'd have no problem with that, because they are way above the rest of the bunch.

But those guys rarely ever become jobless.
