Need plenty of land to produce enough of this to run all the cars in this country, even more so for the states. It can be done, but where you gonna grow your food? - Prolific_Scorer

Exactly
To fuel America’s cars with ethanol would require about 2 billion acres of cropland: more than 5 times all the cropland that is actually and potentially available in the United States |

You know something funny? I consult for Scotiabank right now, JUST took a contract to consult for Laurentian, and I have NO idea what you're talking about. - prock
Scotia sold several branches in QC to Laurentian. Surprised you didn't know that. |

Yup...ethanol is nothing that a supplement to the other fuel, it cannot be the mail fuel resource for the market, demand is too high. |

you can produce ethanol using the corn stalk, not just the kernel. The corn stalk is not food. |

Still, the amount of fertile land require to produce enough is ridiculous, ethanol will never fulfill more than 10% of the demand.
Cold fusion is the solution....now figure out how to make it work |

only a small percentage. There is a lot of corn stalks that just get spread back on the fields. All of these stalks could be used for ethanol production. |

And once you use that land up to produce ethanol, where are we growing the food again? Like separation, sounds wonderful in theory, and like a gravy train, very simple, until you get right down the real complexities of the issues and see where it is actually heading. Then it doesn't look so great, unless you believe the propaganda that states otherwise and don't have the intelligence to see right through the bs i mean. |

Qc is a different banking market, Desjardins is a big player in the province, not easy to grab a decent share and make branches profitable. |
