And all the Canadian agencies in Quebec that employ many people would no longer be there. May want to take that into account aswell - cburgess
That was my point earlier, jobs will leave the province. Thus lowering income to the province. Not an impossible situation but one that would likely put them in a worse position than the one they currently find themselves in. I understand the whole culture thing but at what cost?

Why??? We would not need imigration agencies? Many would keep there job.
But some wouldn't. We would stop paying twice for some agencies doing the same thing, like income taxe revenues agency... - fidopro
Why would the Government of Canada employ people not from Canada? And work out of buildings not in Canada. Seems kind of silly |

You don't get this whole separation thing do you?
We would need Immigration agencies for Québec, which would be a country.

All this to say that 'the province wouldn't not survive' argument is completely stupid.
Perfect to scare ignorant people, but completetly stupid. |

Why not?
You think people will stop from coming here?
We're one of the most immigrant-friendly place, and unlike the rest of NA, we speak french, like a lot of African countries. |

Because you speak french?
EDIT: Also, I don't think France has any problem with immigration, actually, let me rephrase this, they have loads of demands every year. |

I'm in Ontario, so I'm not afraid, believe me. The rest of Canada would do just fine without Quebec, sorry to tell you. |

When I see all the whiners in the street cying for the rise of tuition fees I just think we would want "nothing but the best" services and would go bankrupt in less than 20 years cuz nobody cares if we can't afford something, we just want what's best |
