I still stand by my original declaration of his jackassery.
I don't think anyone "wants" the Isles to lose games, it would just be better for the team if they did at this point, considering that they are closer to a top three pick in the draft than a playoff spot right now.
I can never actively cheer for them to "lose", but you have to understand the frustration some people, like me, have. Its maddening that when the team had a chance to get into the top 8 and a playoff spot, they couldn't win a game to save their lives. It took until January and February for some of these players to start producing. Now, when the playoffs are out of reach, there is no pressure to win and when losing would actually help secure a better draft pick, the players who did nothing all year start to play well and the team starts winning.
Its not that people are "unhappy" the team is winning, they're just frustrated that, just like last year, this team didn't start to win any games and a lot of guys didn't start to play well until the season was effectively over. - Jethro09
Bingo. It burns me that Brillant Jack never thought to change the lines when the team could not score to save there life for months. He should be fired just for this. He never bothered to bury Rolston and play Bailey and Nino with better players. If this was because of pressure from Garth he needs to go to.

I've never seen a coach not change lines when the team was scoring one goal a game for the longest time. It would not surprise me if Snow was behind it.

His quote was referring to the coliseum, not hockey per se. I have no idea if Wang is behind this or its actually 100% fact. If Wang is behind it, then I would be very interested to know his intentions. Whether its in reference to the Barclays Center becoming a permanent home, or if there is something brewing in Queens, or if he is trying to sell the team to someone. It could also just be true that the asbestos is a serious health hazard. Who knows, either way its pretty fookin sad that the old barn is nearing its death. As much as we need a new home, I love the old barn...asbestos, outdoor trailer bathrooms and all.
