There is no reason whatsoever to believe that Bryzgalov only has 3-4 prime years left. That is a completely pessimistic viewpoint, which in unneccessary. It's the opposite in my opinion. No reason why Bryzgalov can't continue to play at a high level well into his 30's.

Thomas, Brodeur, Osgood, Mike Vernon, Dominik Hasek, Evgeni Nabokov, Ed Belfour and Curtis Joseph all immediately started to suck on their 35th birthday. Every single (frank)ing one of them. Not a single exception.

How do you feel about resigning Carle?
- funmaster18

That's well documented.

If the difference between Carle and Suter is approx. 1.5 million per season, (or roughly the cost of Shelley's cap hit) it's a no brainer to me. Suter does everything better, why not pay the premium and get the superior player?

Of course not. I believe that happened in 1998 or there about. It's never to soon anyway.

Maybe they're preparing for relocation?

I think they believe the snow birds from Quebec and Ontario will boost the attendance for the games in Florida.

Still dumb to me.

The question is did he wear that in the Press box? He was scratched for the Howe number retirement game vs. detroit.

It's a game worn jersey. It's got a butter stain from the popcorn on it.

Other than Obama, he might be the most overpaid person in America.

To be fair, it's game issued, not game worn

edit: that should actually make it worth more.

It says game issued, not worn. They were very careful about that. If you look closely you can see a butter smear on it.

Suter is the better overall player. But he doesn't do everything better then Carle.
