I'm really dying for a JvR injury update.

It seems like we're going to have a very complicated summer ahead. Some good, some bad. Will Pronger return? Will Grossmann get re-signed? Do we re-sign Carle or go in a different direction for a possible upgrade over him? What I do know is I would move Lilja if Grossmann is re-signed and have Gustafsson take on the 7th Dman role full time. I will say this, I can't wait to have Betts, Lappy and Leighton off the books.

JVR's timetable to return was 4-6 weeks, Bill Meltzer said JVR was still in a walking boot a few days ago. His surgery took place on March 6th if I'm not mistaken, so it's been 3+ weeks already, if he is still in a boot right now, 6 weeks is probably the best case scenario. That would be around April 20th. Depending on the playoff schedule Round 1 could be over by April 20.

I don't see Gustafsson suited for the 7th spot. Lilja is the ideal player for that spot. And Betts, Lappy, and Leighton really haven't affected anything. So not much is going to change to have them off the books.

It'll be nice to have the slots open, but financially none of those 3 are affecting the cap situation or the Flyers' ability to add players.

As far as JvR, he'll get back when he gets back. As others have pointed out, he was still in a boot as of Monday, so...

I guess it isn't okay to ask how a player is doing...
