They were 12-10-1 at the time, after starting 7-0-0. It's not like they were doing horrible, they just weren't playing for Budreau. I think lower points of the season came after that, it took a while for Hunter to turn them around, and I'd say that they only really turned the corner a couple weeks ago.

Well, other than winning the last couple games, the only thing to write home about would have been Turnbull... but he was pretty average overall.

Speaking of Turnbull, anyone think he'll get an extension? At 25, I gotta say, too little, too late. I wasn't that impressed, especially considering Foligno and Tropp's performances.

McCormick's contract is awful. I had no problem with them bringing him back last year, but I did have a problem with the amount per year he's costing us.

Love their 2x IPA, any beer with that much hops is ok by me. Their stout is pretty good, but nothing to write home about

I could see our 4th line next year being those two and 36.

But I have a feeling if 8 get's another hit to the head he may be done for good.

More important than that, Backstrom has been cleared for contact. I strongly believe he is their best forward. He is a great center. Even when he is not on the scoresheet Backstrom is still effective and making others better.

Personally, I think a lot of that theory is the same reason the Sabres traded Gaustad and still ended up as a better team.

Hes been a one man show. Hes on a 5 game goal scoring streak, they've only won 2 of those games.

Milk stouts tend to be a bit too sweet for me. I like a roastier stout if you know what I mean
