Dear God.. just seeing that Bryz has the fracture. Hopefully Homer's assessment is correct and it's not too bad/he can play in the playoffs.

Still don't understand how this happened. Goalie skates are very well padded unless he got hit on the side of the skate in warmup.

I expect Bacon chihuahua gets the call as backup.

it's not a gaming reference at all. it's a reference to the beastmaster, a fine 1980s movie starring Marc Singer and Tanya Roberts.

Clearly I skimmed the Wikipedia blurb too quickly. Says film right at the top!

my favorite part of the Holmgren presser is the following: "The last one he wasn’t paying attention when Matt had the bobble at the side of the net. "

I'm not suggesting this is good news. Letang may have another concussion and is out day to day...but probably more serious after a head to head hit with Zubrus and then being triped. They are saying lower body but he was woozzy after the Zubrus hit. That could be a serious lose for PIT and at a critical juncture.

not to change subject or anything, but i have not had a chance lately to post and some of you may have already discussed this but i wanted to comment my thoughts on prongers sighting the other night...

to me the guy look like he has suffered some serious brain damage, to me it looked like he had no clue where he was, and a little deranged.

i live near a va hospital and theres lot of vets there that roam around and live there because of heavy brain trauma, and chris reminded me of this.

i really feel bad for the guy because he did not look good imo, and it looked like a infinte change hat wont go away from healing

we all seen guys who have had concussions and he looks to have something different, almost like some kind of degenerate brain disease.

most guys ive seen after concussions look serious or pissed off, he looked like he had a brain of a child.

And where did you see Pronger at? In person or on TV?

Only a chip fracture for Bryzgalov, and another injury for Timonen. Slow day on the injury front. Only 2 guys down? I DEMAND MORE INJURIES!

It's become comical at this point.

Before Bryzgalov, who is the last goalie to suffer a chip fracture in the foot during a pregame warmup? I'm sure the list must be extensive.

If it's a chip fracture to a weight bearing bone, good look seeing him this weekend.

That's a pretty heavy diagnosis there dog. I heard something about his sitting next to Mr. Ed during the fan appreciation game. Is this the event you are referring to? Is there a link to him being interviewed at this event?

I get the same feeling looking at Crosby, in between him averaging 3 points a game, something just doesn't seem right.

Pronger was off limits to the media, and I think someone reported he left after the second period after not feeling well.

Not sure, more likely light sensitivity, or problems dealing with noise. Sad state of affairs with Pronger. I feel terrible for the guy, not only is his career likely over, but right now his quality of life is suffering. I hate seeing it.
