Because he's trying to get to that time of year when he really excels

he's a number 1 fisherman in my book. someone check elias to see if that fish is a record breaker.

That fish is a record breaker, +/- a few pounds.

I think you dont wait to find out. There are deals to be made this off-season for sure. I think the Flyers should sign Grossmann, and Kubina if he is cheap.. Resign Jagr and Voracek... Then deal a combination of Meszaros, Bob, and a forward for a top tier defenseman. And see if you can sign a checking line center and winger or a back-up goalie like Clemmenson or Biron.
- RooNosHockey

I wouldn't rush into a trade for Bob, Meszaros and a forward for a defenseman.

I don't think there's going to be much interest in Bob unless the Canucks and Kings decide not to shop their back-ups. Even then, a guy like Jeff Harding would be more attractive to me than Bob.

Second, Meszaros coming off a back surgery isn't likely to be that sought after, either.

They are virtually locked into the 5th seed after last night. Might as well rest any guy that needs it.

is Backlund still Flyers' property? I know he's in the midst of playoffs (against Hovinen), but wondering whether bringing him back might not be a bad idea (if further circumstances warrant it). The idea of Bacash as our backup going forward is not appealing. Unless Backlund would get claimed going through waivers. i don't know what i'm talking about, i'm in and mode.

The news on Bryzgalov is about what I expected, maybe slightly worse. Also not surprised that Timonen is "hurt"...I fully expected him to get a rest after they clinched. If he's 100% then I'm General George S Patton

I actually agree a little. But they need to keep up thier pace of play too and head into the playoffs hot. They are 3-1 against the penguins this year... If they go in 5-1 it would be a mental edge....

Yeah, but either way, it's something that would hamper him for awhile. Better than a full break.
