It'll never happen.....she's been in bed for a couple of hours now......but am sure she and her friends will be around Thursday afternoon. I just love this "banter" from Pens "fans"......no true rivalry exists between us but I guess picking on the "weaker" kid (oh how soon we forget) makes them feel better about themselves, but with that being said, losing while outshooting your opponent 54-25 has GOT to leave a sting! - 1since40
I agree with everything but that one part... there is always some kind of rivalry with a team in your div.

Oh yeah? Enjoy your meaningless wins I guess, you are only hurting your now decade-long rebuild. - nhindian
I don't know if you'll come to this blog again today, but it was really tough brilliant minded front office leadership that got you guys Sidney Crosby.
Face it, your team is gone if the "luck of the draw" doesn't get you Crosby.
Your team would have moved, so for you to be mocking the Islanders in any way is ridiculous you jackass.
The Penguins finished with the worst record in 2003-04 and ultimately ended up with Malkin and Crosby because of it.
Every Penguins fan disappeared during their losing stretch of years after they traded Jagr away.
You guys are all punks, the biggest fair weather fans in all of sports. Take a bow dude. |

History lesson for you.... a decade is 10 years, 10 years ago the Islanders were in the playoffs & the Pens were not. In fact it was the Pens second year in a row not making the playoffs second of 5. So soon your people forget... no doubt you weren't even a fan of the team back then.

Frans and KO turning into goal scoring machines once the season is over. Where were these guys when the season was on the line? - ses111
You can say that about almost everyone on the team outside of JT, MM, PAP, Nabby and Hamonic. |

The better question is why does this team decide its good to start turning it on now??? It AMAZES me, that they feel winning games at this point is a good thing. |

Don't respond to jerk**fs. That encourages them to post more stupidity. Most fans who cheer for winners that were losers not too long ago have convenient memory failure. |

Its all character, experience. This team simply doesn't have the character to play and win when it matters. This group proved that last year when they dialed it up in the second half after they had nothing to play for. Same thing this year. Once the playoffs were effectively out of their grasp, this team played looser and better, and is now winning games. Guys who did nothing all year are all of the sudden finding the scoresheet. The real keepers are the guys who have performed well all year, not just in the last month or so.
Maybe this is all part of the "learning process" for the guys who didn't do s**t all year and now are playing better. Those guys need to start playing hard and well in October instead of February. Until that happens, this team will continue to miss the playoffs. |

I hear what you're saying, but the bottom line, is a top 3 pick is far better than the 5th overall. How this team isnt calling up the Donovans, and Katics, and seeing what they have from bport is beyond me. Im not saying throw the games, but i would be treating it like the pre season........try different line combos and call up the bridge. Jurcina, Eaton, Reasoner etc are not part of the future.......

do you not think they have raped bport enough?? that team has a chance to make a serious run in the playoffs...that exposure playing 25 minutes of meaningful hockey might be more valuable than 12 minutes against the senators...also we get into this every year..i get the whole lets lose..but i can't root to lose...can't do it bottom line is of the top 10 prospects 6 of them are defensman so as long as we are in the top 10 we will be fine... |

noones saying throw the games......im sure 2 weeks in the nhl for donovan and katic wont hurt bports playoff chances. ultimately, its great experience to play against the best in the world.......after two weeks the isles can send them all back down, with whoever else is eligible.
as i mentioned before, ther's a huge difference btwn the top 3 picks and the 5th or 6th |

They were still in a playoff race then that was the problem, maybe some one should tell them that the NHL decided not to have any more playoffs and that every one is a winner. Then there is no pressure and this baby team will win. It is like they are scared to make the playoffs. They played dreadful when they were in the race, but again that is lack of coaching so no surprise there |

Like Kasper said, the pressure is off. What a great thing we did by helping the Rangers out.
For what it's worth, I'm done worrying about draft position. It's f'n ridiculous at this point. It's the theme at the end of every regular season as everyone else is looking to the playoffs. We are all gonna be glued to the f'n TV looking to see if we win the lottery, and then we're gonna argue about some f'n kid that may or may not pan out, and then say who we should've taken. Then, it takes a year or 2 or 3 to see if he does pan out, and then if and when he doesn't we're all gonna call him Bailey 2.0, or next year's catch phrase which might be Nino 2.0. What an f'n vicious cycle we're caught up in. Time to trade prospects and/or 1st rounders for humans. I can't take this wait and see game. So far it's been a lot of waiting and not much seeing.

I was being cheeky....you're misinterpreting my being here! I like the Islanders, wish they could get their sh!t together from ownership to a building to the team. I was 13 when they won their first Cup, always liked them since. - LeftCoaster
