My question was, who is a sure pick in this year draft after Yakupov and Grigorenko?

Subban

The Subban pick might be smart. Keep in mind something about Burke and his offer sheet to Price.
- weirdoh

female dog please offer sheet Price

I think some of the high ranked D are seen as a more sure thing than Grigs, or so I have read.
- JDJ

I saw him play 2 times and he really didn't impress me. Sure he is big and has great playmaking abilities but man is he effortless. Not to mention he has no clue what is a back-check.

I didn't read all of it, but I'm sure the 20 page debate over who got more of a fair shot was a boatload of excitement.

I'm so glad offer sheets are always given out and Burke has a great love towards them.

That's what I was about to write....It's yakupov and some of the D's...the rest all have question marks...

So they finish 3rd last, do you trade the pick before the lottery, giving the pick the little bit of mystery on where it will end up, and get a 3rd liner for it, or trade it after the lottery and get some much needed 4th line depth?
- Oilhab

Trade to Columbus for Nash before Lottery, they would love to have two top 3 picks.

IMO, Yakupov-Grigs-Galchenyuk and Murray-Dumba-Trouba are good picks.

Apart from the injury issues with most of them...

- DrRecchi

There is some hyper around Reinhart too, later in the round there also is Faksa. this kid can score, NHL shot already

I think Yakupov and the D are the safe bets. The Russians and Forsberg are risks that might bring high reward.

I just can see the Habs take a risk with the pick... I see them drafting safe rather than risk, unless Roy is the GM, then all bets are off and we can assume who he would pick.
