Yes, Forsberg lit up the stats at the WJC, with 1 big assist in 5 games.
When you pick in the top 3, you need to pick someone that is a sure thing. Not someone that might be good later on.

- l3ig_l2ecl

I agree with that a top 3 must be a player that will be a key piece within 2 years. But if we pick 3rd and Grigorenko is gone after Yakupov then you pick Murray ?

Agreed on the top 6 but NO WAY he can play on the second line.

J'étais sarcastique, 18 pts en 52 games c'est assez ordinaire, surtout quand tu joues pour la meilleure équipe de la ligue.
- Habsody

I know. Not sure he'll ever hit 40pts again in a season...

So, he's like Darche. Got it.
- hscesq

Darche is lucky to even get to 20 points, and that is only if he over plays his minutes on the PP thanks to his pal JM.

D'ags pocketed 21 goals last season, and if not for injury, would be fairly close to that this season. And with 150+ shots on goal and 100+ hits, too.

Yeah, Darche only wishes he could play like that.

My question was, who is a sure pick in this year draft after Yakupov and Grigorenko?

IMO, Yakupov-Grigs-Galchenyuk and Murray-Dumba-Trouba are good picks.

Apart from the injury issues with most of them...

Which is why if the habs don't land 1st or 2nd, they need to trade up or trade for NHL ready talent.

I didn't read all of it, but I'm sure the 20 page debate over who got more of a fair shot was a boatload of excitement.

I doubt it, he had a good season last year because he was playing big minutes because of injuries and the poor production of Oshie and Berglund.

I think some of the high ranked D are seen as a more sure thing than Grigs, or so I have read.

The Subban pick might be smart. Keep in mind something about Burke and his offer sheet to Price.

So they finish 3rd last, do you trade the pick before the lottery, giving the pick the little bit of mystery on where it will end up, and get a 3rd liner for it, or trade it after the lottery and get some much needed 4th line depth?
