Read has been such a nice suprise. The kid just has a motor.

Grossmann is showing he has a bit of an offensive game. Getting involved in the play.

- flyer_nutter

grossmann showed some nice hands late in the first down low for a cross ice feed. that surprised me.

read is just a damn good player. what an addition.

I had a feeling about Read before training camp. I saw him doing impressive things in Adirondack with a Motley Crue... I didn't think he would be this good though..

Another name to keep in mind, Matt Ford. He's lighting it up in Adirondack. He's a good PK guy from what I have read. He's the kid they got in the Kevin Marshall trade. Might pay dividends that move.

Read was a fast bastard, playing well after hitting a wall thats a (frank) load shorter than the wall Schenn ran into

He could be...Read didn't have any pro experience before last year, where Ford has had a few seasons. Still, he's played well from what Tim McManus has written.

could have potted another 2, 3, or 4 goals there. need to finish this out and continue pummeling them. the only sniff that tampa is getting is off of turnovers. they're generating no pressure or forecheck at all.
- hammarby31

Tampa is generating zero offense, only way to lose this game, is to put them on the PP.

Read has a degree in fitness studies or something like that, so conditioning isn't going to be an issue for him.

Yup. I exchanged a few e-mails with McManus. He's a good guy, provides good coverage of the Phantoms. He's very high on Ford. He believes he can be a very useful NHL player.

Bill seems to think Ford is a career AHL guy. You never know, but Bill's usually not too far wrong on that stuff.

Yeah, he's not that young, but he hasn't cut his teeth in the NHL yet. Maybe he's a late bloomer.

Unfortunately, the players aren't talking to him. He wrote a column critical of the Flyers organization for not putting a better product in ADK and the players got mad at him.

I think Schenn will be fine in the long run. He's having typical rookie ups and downs

You never know. He hasn't been given a chance at the NHL level yet. Hard to right him off before he gets a chance.

Flyers have apparently signed Nick Cousins. He just tweeted that he's on his way to Glens Falls
- Jsaquella

some talk earlier in the day about the undrafted college players. each year the hype surrunding these guys grows. I remember the D-man the Rags signed ( i think hes with Tampa now) ....Gilroy... linked to the Flyers. Then last year, DeCosta, who signed with Ottawa. I havent heard boo about him since he played a few games last year. Read is the only guy that I recall having an inpact in a shrt time frame.
Im more interested in how Thomas Hyka is doing, any info on any of the players (Undrafted Collegients) and Hyka would be appreciated
