At this time of year, they let most things go on. Especially along the boards, when it gets to the front of the net, they are a bit more sensitive and obvious trips they call too.

Kovalchuk looks like a beast tonight, and Malkin has the jump too. Dare I say Battle of the Russians?

That almost was Mario-like with how far from his body the puck when he released. It must be nice to be 6'4 and be able to reach the top shelves without a stool.

Zubrus attempted to "jump around" Letang but when he tried to bring his stick over, he hit Letang in the face with his glove, may have gotten the butt end of the stick, but it was the glove. That's incidental contact, I am only have watching the game so I didn't see the latter.

Steckel almost scored the exact same way that Dupuis scored, we're just not getting the bounces to go our way now....

It should be, yet it has been this way for a while. You look at it and can take a "intangible victory" out of the game in the way you played, but there's nothing tangible to show for it.

He was showing it back in the Canadians series before he got his foot sliced. That stutter step to the middle rip comes to mind. Hes defintely been at another level this year since the injuries

It's great to see.

Carter's hit didn't look that much like a trip, it looked like he pushed him into the boards and Letang's angle made his leg go in awkwardly....
