it's an amazing run and shows how frustrating it is to be a sabre fan during those stretches before mid feb when the team was a no show more often then not - homiedclown
is it more fun to have a run at the end to try and make it or to have mediocrity throughout the year and be at the same place? I think we are in a good position. Not that far away from team in our own division.

It might be more fun.. but its nail biting and the first half of the season makes me want to tear up my Sabres Jerseys/gear.

I think that is what makes this team so frustrating to watch.
We see what the team can do when they are focused, and we then put those flaws under a microscope when they tank for long stretches at a time.
If we get in, that is still a big if, there is not one team that I give us no chance in a series with the possible exception of the pens.

What you said.........I think IF we get in and get the Pens its a 5 game series, max. But we can worry about that around April 10 if it comes to that.

Foligno was going to be nothing but a 4th liner who needed another year in the A.
Sulzer would never play a game in a Sabre's Uniform.
How about that Stafford? Not only back to scoring, but knocking bodies around all over the place. - sippyd
What would be great is if we could cryogenically freeze Stafford in between the days he decides to be a good NHLer. You have to admit, when he's off, he's absolutely infuriating.

But when he's on his game... He is the best all around forward on the team...

isn't it odd that it took a rookie and an injured winger playing center to jump start Stafford? It was either dumb luck or the genius of Lindy.
Ennis as a #2 Center.....talk about stepping into some good luck.
