One thing I will say. If Buffalo does make it, as much as I hate the Leino signing, much of the reason they brought him in is his performance in the playoffs. I'm intrigued to see if he can deliver.
4 of are next 7 are against teams in the playoffs ATM. Boston, Philly, Pits will be very difficult. I think if we win 5 of the next 7 we will be in... They way we are playing we can beat anyone and I hope thats how we finish out the next 7 games....
I'm just worried about the 2 points we lost out on this month "Col/Flo". I hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass!

You don't think so? We are tied with the caps and if they win 5/7 they beat us into the playoffs. Plus Winnipeg is only 4 points back with a game in hand and they also beat us in tie breakers.
Unless Ottawa or Washington completely bomb the next 7.
It will be hard but I believe we make it to the playoffs!

I believe we'll make it as well, but I'm seriously not interested in making it just to get booted in the first round again lol. I think we'd pull a first round "upset" on whoever we face if we make it. With that said though, I think our season comes down to Tuesday against the Caps. It seems like for the past several weeks, every game has been "The biggest game of the season", but Tuesday may really be that game.

I thought it was a groin/hamstring strain? - theblueandgold
I thought I saw upper body. I could be wrong though. I think I'd rather it be groin/hamstring related. Better than a concussion since he's already had a pretty brutal one this year.

Yahoo Sports profile has it listed as upper body. I listen to all (most) of the post game interviews and thought I heard Lindy say it was his legs in one of them. I dont know.
I'd put Gerbe between Pommer and Roy and move Leino down to the 4th. I hope we make playoffs so Leino can turn it on. He was playing good for a while there but lately I find myself yelling at the screen whenever he has the puck.

Ennis has 22 pts in his last 25 games. Hes scoring at a rapid pace. I hope we can still sign him for no more than 2.5M per

I think the earlier part of his season and his inconsistency the past 2 years will help.
The Gerbe thing is interesting though. Doesn't appear that they're really saying what the deal is. Either way, he's not even skating, so it's hard to say one way or another. Both could be the reason for that. If he's still having concussion symptoms he won't be allowed near the rink. If it's a leg, he has to wait for it to heal before he can resume skating.

Yeah, not sure what can be said for Ennis for why he struggled out of the gate. He was injured all of November and all of January. But since coming back after the All star break, 22 pts in 25 games. He's also played most of those games at center!

Sulzer has just been a solid NHL d-man for us. He's a professional hockey player. Nothing flashy, just a pro and I think he should stay in the line-up until further notice. He always makes the safe, smart play and will hit..hell, he even scored a goal. - The_Inkwell
The best thing I like about him is there never seems to be a "f**king" in front of his name, like Weber, Sekera, or Leopold. I love his quiet play.

Really? Alka Sulzer drives me insane. Lindy had him on the ice for that game we blew with 4 seconds left and I was literally screaming at the screen before the faceoff drop even happened. He's done okay but I prefer McNabb to him or Weber.
And Sekera, wow. Sekera is just great, I don't know how else to say it. If you care about strength of competition stats (which I do) Sekera and Regher are best on the team, and Sekera is faster and recovers easier than Regher. He's played really physical for him this year, and he almost never gets burned. There's a strong case to be made that he's been the best defensemen on the team for much of this year. I missed him more than Myers when he was out. I used to rag on him all the time, but at some point while I was laughing at him the kid grew up and he's the best frickin defensemen they have.
As a whole, when they are healthy I love the sabres top 5, all of whom are solid top 4 NHL defensemen.
They kept showing the Stafford line on the bench last night... All three of them are laughing and having a good time... That is a good sign... I love to see the passion in some of these players back...
Specially in Stafford... Nice to see him back Playing the way he should... Maybe all these rumors of some personal sh!t going on was true and finally he's over it....
