I asked you a simple question? How would you like me to ask it?

Excuse me my fine sir, do you know the rules?

You went on to question the Oilers, if you didn't know the rules then don't question the club.

- Lahey

My original statement in and of itself dictated I did not know the answer. "If the situation is unfair then he shouldn't have to play if it is he has to suck it up". I would have been speaking with some kind of authority if had even the slightest clue. The way Richard wrote that section of the blog didn't state one way or another whether or not he was the only player expected to "toe the line".

You can ask a question any way you want, but, the manner with which I worded my response you question was unneccesary.

You post confrontational nonsense on here consistently, and you were looking to start an argument. Period. If you want to do it in the future, pick a response of mine that merits an argument, I make them all the time.

I don't even know that he can play in the OKC playoffs anyway, but if he could he should be there playing in the playoffs.
- Lahey

The major problem now with Omark come as he played his 60th NHL game ast night. If the Oilers try to send him down to Oak City he has to pass thru waivers now. That also includes after the season to play in the AHL playoffs.......as per sportsnet last night.
So either the Oilers take that long look at him now or risk losing him thru waiver wire to play with the Barons.
Does anyone really think an NHL G.M. wouldn't grab him for free with his upside?
There are teams he could help like they said on the radio today "Tampa would be a great fit as an understudy for St Louis."

I honestly hope Omark has a good career somewhere else. He's not a poor player per se, he's just an absolutely awful fit for Edmonton. He is the antithesis of everything that we need to add to this team (defensive awareness, heart, size).

He is a perfect asset in trading at the draft. Does Omark plus our 2nd get us back into the late first round?

I will tell you this: Once upon a time the Edmonton Oilers had a chance to give a small winger a shot they opted to let him walk for nothing and he has turned into an unbelievable NHL player........ Anyone remember Ray Whitney?? Omark is the same fold as this!! He will be a very serviceable player for a team giving him a proper shot!!

I'll admit that it was rather indecisive, but, it wasn't nonsense.

Let me ask you this, are they expecting Thor to play in OKC rather then the Worlds?

I can not argue with you here. He isn't given enough credit for his heart when playing, he doesn't lose as many battles in the corners as people say. defensively he isn't great. His major problem is his head or attitude whichever you may say. He prolly won't be a huge star but he doesn't have the talent to pass by Hall, Hemsky, Eberle, Smyth (who does show more grit than him) here.
But to say there isn't a team looking for a talented winger like him might be just plain wrong. you my friend nailed it on the head.

Here's the thing for every Ray Whitney there are numerous more failures out there. Maybe Omark can get it, but it won't be here. Just like Schremp, maybe he still can figure it out but the clock is ticking.

I just don't see too many teams letting Omark do his thing the way he is doing it now. You need to be able to put up 50 if not 60 points for a NHL team to handle the flaws that Omark has. If you don't believe me look at Nilsson and POS.

Pretty sure. I don't even know if they are expected Omark to play in OKC, but how things came out it doesn't look good for a player. Generally you don't see too many players saying these type of things. Usually it's " I'd love to play for my country, but my obligation is to do what the team wants and the AHL team is in a playoff hunt." not "(frank) OKC, I want the Worlds". Granted Omark didn't straight out say (frank) OKC he implied it.

I wonder what is teammates that played with Omark think about this.

Either way I don't see the kid here next year.

Nilsson is variably comparable but POS and Schrempf are NOT even the same type of player Omark is!! POS was supposed to be a sniper, Schrempf was noticed because of his shootouts (Omark as well sort of) B ut Omark is scoring when given the chances with the big club the other above mentioned players didn't and that is what lead to them being let go!! Omark hasn't been given a proper chance! If the Oilers gave him half the chance that they gave POS he would show all of us!!

It doesn't matter if they are the exact same player or not. The flaws are all one in the same. A lack of smarts without the puck.

Omark can get this at the AHL level, why would they give him more chances at the NHL level?

That was a mistake... clearly. At 40 year old Whitney is almost a PPG player. Incredible. But that being said, Whitney had already put up a few good NHL seasons when we let him go... that made it even worse. Schremp and Omark have both not proven anything... at any level not including junior or the Euro Leagues

I am sure the Oiler's would jump on that, not sure the Ducks would.

Have to agree. I don't think the Ducks jump on that straight up for Fowler. They lack NHL d-men, unless our 2012 1st is on the table or Eberle/RNH/Hall I just don't see them moving Fowler.

I find that comment quite ironic comming from a fan of a team that got more then their fair share of those lottery tickets in the past few years

I really doubt that our rebuild will be of the magnitude that yours have been If anything, if the cards are played right during the summer, habs should be back in the playoffs by next season...

What cards? Signing Suter and Parise? Drafting a guy that can make an immediate impact? Maybe your rebuild won't be like ours, but assuming you'll get off with one bad year is setting yourself up for future madness.
