give up? hes 23. hes not even close to his prime yet and you already want to give up? its people like you that is wrong with leaf fans. one guy has a bad season and already want to give up. we are def going to get somewhere if we just keep giving up on players. what, this is the first leaf goalie we actually drafted that we actually gave a chance to become a #1. we gave up on rask and where did that leave us? and we left pogge in the AHL to long he got comfortable with being a decent goalie in a crap league when he got to the nhl he sucked and didnt get a chance with the leafs. he played a total of 7 games with us and we gave up on him. luckily he didnt turn out anywhere else but leafs ruined him. so the first goalie we drafted that we give a shot in over 15 years and you just want to dump him? thats what pisses me off about other leaf fans

The danger is if Reimer doesn't work out then we just blew probably another 1 or 2 years hoping for the best and then we have to start over.

Sound familiar, it should because it is basically the exact plan Burkie has us on.

I don't care if we keep Reimer, but label him the backup until he does what Schneider is doing in VAN but until then go out and get the #1 goalie we truly need.

at least someone appreciates my rants. it really grinds my gears when people want to give up on our guys. all we need is a vet reimer can learn from and watch how different he will play next year. reimer can't learn anything from gusty. they should bring giggy back lol

Sign Harding up let the monster go... Draft Gally or Faska and trade Mac or Franson to draft Tommy Wilson.. We will be headed in the right direction. But we wont be good next year unless we mortgage the future... Id rather just draft these great players by the time they are ready so will Kadri Ashton Colborne Gardiner Reimer Biggs and all our other promising prospects... So we will actually be a good team.

to be honest, i dont see kadri staying around for much longer. i dont think burke wanted to draft him, i think he did it to try and make a deal with ottawa but ottawa said forget it and burke got stuck with him.

yup.... Leaf fans say they want a rebuild and are patient but it's stuff like this that leads me to believe they can't handle it.

Can't wait for the guy we are tanking for to not make the team next year and get called a bust.

Dont think anyone is suggesting that Reimer be the #1...Most would agree it was a mistake to go with Reimer and Gus this season...

Bring in a vet/experienced goaltender and let Reimer be the backup..

People misreading that whole conversation that was caught on camera on draft day.

Burke wanted Kadri but OTT wanted to trade up.

Burke asked who they wanted and it was Kadri so Burke said no.

If OTT wanted somebody else then Burke might have made the swap and then selected Kadri but then they would have had to hope DAL didn't take him also.
