That's fine, but who will replace him and at what cost. An upgrade in nets makes you a team that competes for 7,8,9,10. They need to improve their defensive play and upgrade the terrible defense. Suter would be a good start. Problem is Phaneuf's salary will kill them. He's a $4 million defenseman.
