DON'T FORGET MAC BENNETT AND GREG PATERYN'S MICHIGAN'S WOLVERINES ARE 2ND IN THE NCAA'S 1ST DIVISION AND DANNY GRETZKY KRISTO'S NORTH DAKOTA'S FIGHTING SIOUX ARE 4TH. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT, MY FRIEND.

I know you're not serious, but don't forget the Cataractes and the SJ seadogs. As well as London and TriCity who are most likely headed to the memorial cup.

That's a beauty Marty!

I have to tell you that in AZ you can carry a gun as long as it is not concealed, (you need a permit for that). I have been to many sporting goods stores and some bars, where a guy or 2 is packing a weapon. I've never felt safer.

Edit: by weapon I mean a gun.

QP'S Friday Night Prospect Report

Brought to you by Pepsi and Mae West.

Overall, it was a good night for our prospects.

Even though the night was shadowed by the loss of the favourite in Michigan to Cornell, 3-2 in OT.

This might mean Greg Pateryn will sign with the habs next week and join Hamilton for their playoff push.

As far as Bennett goes he could turn pro too, but I doubt it. He needs to fill his frame, and he'll get huge minutes once again next year under former Hab Red Berenson. It was a pretty good season for Mac, as he was labeled as the most improved player by his coach. Many people overlook this guy when they make their prospect lists, but to me he's ahead of Ellis and Dietz when it comes to our D's. Effortless skater, loves to carry it, great vision, and he's getting good in his own zone. Lookout for this guy in the next few years.

Lest we look at the 'Q playoffs, shall we?

Yesterday was the first game of an unfair rematch between the Scream Eagles and the Saint-John Seadogs. This time the eagles don't have Ellis to cover up for the rest of the team, and it was blatant as the Seadogs won 13-4.

It was obviously a good night for Nathan Beaulieu as he recolted a goal, on a rocket of a shot on the rush, and 2 assists, while being +5 for the night, highest on his team.

It was also the first game between the Cataractes vs Rouyn-Noranda.

It was a blowout too at Centre Bionest as the Cats won 7-1.

Bournival got injured early in the 1st but came back in the 2nd and added 2 assists, he looked fine after he went down.

Morgan Ellis, after getting named Best Defensive D of the league, scored twice and added an assist.

Now let's move onto the OHL

London won the first game of their series against the Windsor Spitfire. Jarred Tinordi was held scoreless and had a fighting Major, while being 0 in the plus-minus category.

Onto the WHL

In a 5-2 loss for the Saskatoon Blades, Darren Dietz had an assist and a 5 and 10 for slashing while being +1.

Gallagher had a 3 point night (3 assists) while being +1 in a 7-5 win.

TriCity won 7-2 against Ryan Murray's Silvertips. Holland had 2 assists.

QP, why do they let all the poop teams in the playoffs for the Q. I feel bad for some of these guys. Cape Breton is going to need a therapist from all the red lights.

I know man, it's stupid.

But usually those teams can survive. Having the Seadogs who are probably the strongest junior major team ever makes it kinda unfair.

Coyle had 6 points He's starting to get chemistry with fellow Wild prospect and favourite of yours, Zack Phillips.

I could see a Bork-Eller-Lebust/Moen line next year, with Gio and Pleks plus a new winger.

Would not mind a 4th line with White, Staubitz (part time), with some other size / grit, perhaps a face off guy.

- JDJ

Geoffrion should land that 4th line spot, he deserves to be given a chance and some ice time, eventually.

Not really the best junior squad ever, there were some unbelievable squads in the 80s and 90s. In recent times, the Crosby Océanic squad was extremely good.

I think there'll be some changes, 1 of the 3 centers is gone and I wouldn't be surprised to see Moen and White gone as well. If it doesn't change I can see a guy like Cole asking for a trade.
