I get that, i'm aware of the US' history and how it led to their constitution but its clearly out-dated and should be reviewed. Why would the people of the US let emotionality take over rationality? They dont NEED a gun, they just feel like they do.
PS: Yes, i get that being rational isnt exactly popular these days. - PRICEless
Well, I didn't understand it as much until I moved here and went to law school and saw how much the constitution means. Supreme Court decisions are still based on it, and they manipulate it to apply to today's issues and today's society.
It isn't about NEEDING the gun, it's about being able to be the one to decide if the gun is something you want. The right to possess it is the sole issue. |

I doubt this is just happening in the USA, see the student strike for instance. |

Dont forget to mention that shotguns are THAT much more bad ass when it comes down to zombie apocalypses.
Do you see the policemens with their berretas survive in zombie movies? NO. It's always the redneck with a shotgun who does.
Always. |

The constitution in this country is not just a piece of paper. It means a lot more than that to many people, and the second amendment is most meaningful down south. - hscesq
People also believe in some old dusty books like the bible.

What i meant by homicide is that it'd go from being a justified (self defense) homicide to being a criminal one.
What evidence is there that it was CLEARLY self defense, anyway? - PRICEless
I'm just playing semantics with you. Homicide is a death that isn't an accident or a suicide. It's simply a legal term.
I have no idea. This is the first I am hearing about it, and I have no idea what the facts are. |

I know it's silly to base opinions on...*sigh* youtube compilations, but I notice when they post those videos where they try to get the cops riled up it always does come down to "it's my right, I'm allowed to so I will" |

And that is their right. And they find ways to apply it to current society. You don't agree, don't live that way. |

It's not irrational to believe that such a thing, if it could actually be done, and i doubt it could, wouldnt cost more than it does right now. |
