Don Maloney is fine but Tippett is terrible with youngsters that have an ounce of offensive capacity.

Both will probably be fired.

To be honest the thrashers' GM Rick Dudley was probably more competent than Maloney is, so I guess wanting your own guy is a benefit from owning an NHL team.

Bob Hartley is gonna coach that team, as to the GM though, I have no idea.

Maybe Roy, but I think he ends up with the Habs.

If QC does indeed get Phoenix, and they fire Tippett, then they are indeed the dumbest (frank)s on the planet, Tippett is a great coach, and will be unemployed even less time than Boudreau was.

Or did they simply choose the wrong (frank)ing players to draft? Neither of the bolded has a (frank)ing ounce of heart among the 3 of them, not one (frank)ing ounce. Skill alone wont make you a great hockey player in the NHL, its exactly the same reason that all those flashy russian and french draft picks you are so in love with either wont make the NHL or will be a marginal bottom 6 player, if they even do make it at all, see avstin, archambault, fortier, dumont, and masse for further proof...

Fortier, Dumont and Massé don't scream 'flashy' to me.

I've been clear about my opinion of Archambault and the underwhelming season of Avtsin.

Fortier and Dumont are checkers, and they are work ethics primarily guys, guys who have heart.

You probably don't remember it, but in his first preseason game in 2010, 5' 10 Dumont fought bigger Panther Keaton Ellerby, 6'4, to defend his teammate. He got his ass kicked but the guy earned loads of respect from the vets after it.
