I think he has gotten progressively worse each year. Especially the last three seasons. I dont know if it has to do with the style of play but he isnt what he use to be. Not like he is old either, I just dont fear him like I use to when he had the puck on his stick (still dangerous).

I've read this blog for years, and I finally have to chime in on Matt Carle. He makes too many bone-head decisions. And watching him play defense makes me wonder if he has any "hockey IQ". I really hope the Flyers do not extend his contract.

One of the reasons the offense has suddenly dried up is with no Pronger or Meszaros, their isn't any goal scoring potential on the backend now.

Not to mention, outside of the Giroux line, every forward is in a collective slump right now.

The good news is the defense has played much better, as well as Bryzgalov righting the ship. If they can get the offense going now they can compete with anyone.

That first round series is going to be a doozy. Barring a miracle it's going to be against Pitt or the NYR. Unless the Devils catch them.

Passing isn't as crisp as you would like at this stage of the season. There has been much more attention to detail in their own zone. Far less giveaways, as well as the forwards supporting the d-men.

The game against Florida, the Panthers had about 4-5 scoring chances in the game. Was frustrating to lose that game.
