I don't know a healthy Lindros was a beast. In Hindsight they gave up to much as Foppa became a great player in his own right.

That trade goes down as the worst in the sport.

Wide open net. A 7 year old squirt finishes that. Of course when you haven't scored in 40+ games, that poop happens. Lock him up. 5.5 million a year.
Not to mention Old Man Knuble just went around Carle like he was a Cigar Store Indian. |

On this date in 1992, the Flyers traded Ron Hextall, Steve Duchesne, Kerry Huffman, Mike Ricci, Peter Forsberg, Chris Simon, first round picks in the 1993 and 1994 NHL Entry Drafts and $15 million to the Quebec Nordiques in exchange for the rights to center Eric Lindros just prior to the NHL Entry Draft.

So basically they traded Hextall, Ricci two first round picks, money and Forsberg for the most dominant player in the league when healthy. Yes it is alot and i bet the flyers never thought Forsberg would be as good as he was.

The biggest immediate hole it opened was on defense. Duchesne was their best defenseman and Huffman was coming off a really solid year. Losing those two left a gaping hole on defense, with two inexperienced goalies and not a ton of depth up front.
Had they kept what they traded and added a couple defensemen...Still, Lindros was a beast when he was a Flyer. |

Wow Carle needs to finish that chance. Flyers need to I love their defense more in the offensive zone. They used to involve the D way more in the cycle game. They can't get poop going. And voracek is so freaking frustrating sometimes |
