Jeez - for a Penguin fan, with Crosby just back, one would think - hope - you'd want to stop /punish all hits to the head.

It is definitely a worn out issue. The Canucks are the most hated team in the league and by most fans in Canadian NHL cities. There are few anywhere that have any appreciation for the things Burrows and Bieksa do on the ice.

If the estimated 3 games ia all that Keith gets and Danielle Sedin is out for the year thats a great trade. The Sedins are hall of fame floppers , its great someone fimally connected with one of their jaws square , Danny girl sure was ok enough to go right back on the ice for theensuing power play. The Canucks have the 2ns seed sewn up, no reason for Danielle to play the rest of the game. Im sure he is fine.

He"ll get 3 games like Shane Doan. Didn't like the play but the Hawks have been on the receiving end a number of times. One I happen to remember was Derek Engeland on Kruger. There was another hit early in the game when Edler hit Shaw up very high - no call at all. Nobody is even mentioning that.

let the players handle all the head hunting on the ice by going after the guy that did the initial cheap shot. that will fix this b s going on and that is why i hate the instigator penalty.

i want to protect the skilled players and want more of them on the ice and allowing guys to retaliate will end the cheap shot or at least limit it

Not at all. The Canucks have been notorious dirt bags for a few years. If D.Sedin is out for an extended period of time thats great. Did I mention the Sedin's are notorious floppers ? Divers ? Pansi's ?

This is the problem with the stupid instigator rule. Keith should have dropped the gloves and grabbed Daniel. If he turtles, which he would have, then you just embarrassed him in front of a lot of people. If he fights, then you destroy him in a fight.

Yea seen the highlights on TSN. What are you arguing for? You want to convince us of what? Most have said it was a bad hit. I've even said it would get two games. Im not going to agree with you that he'll get the same as other similiar hits with previous offenders plus I understand why he was angry because of his own head shot.
