Love this line from Staple's Newsday article today:

"But Snow's goal is to have Nabokov teamed with either Anders Nilsson or Kevin Poulin (or a mix of the two as call-ups from Bridgeport) to give the Islanders some stability in net."

Hopefully that's true.

he had some really good games... and some really really bad games. They gave him once last legitimate shot to be a number 1 goalie in the NHL..and he just was not up to the task. He is what he is... a back up goalie.. nothing more.

I can actually... he said he wasn't going to report because he wasn't ready & wouldn't be ready till the playoffs... we didn't make the playoffs.... he maned put & was here at camp, never made a disparaging comment about the club, played like a professional & now has signed a contract with us.... he's earned the benefit of the doubt.

But to each their own.

I am too... but just still a little anoyed at him for the start. I spoke to him during the summer at the season ticket holders event in Adventurland. He was not very excited to be there... as my kids were running around getting autographs I said to him... "Welcome to Long Island Nabby.. I know this is not where you wanted to be but it will grow on you. " He raised an eybrow and said.. "We'll See." .. .I guess it grew on him.

do you think the isles will do something like the bluejackets did. bring in your old dp jeresy and they will change it to nabby?
