Nope...you guys are all delusional Leaf fans...so typical your thought patterns are

The Leafs wont successfully lose...common now...just like the Leafs couldnt successfully play out the rest of the year to make a playoff appearance. Get real boys...this team is fighting for 10th spot and you know it.

So quit thinking were gonna get a high draft pick, quit thinking were gonna get Getzlaf and quit thinking positive things...be more...U_Gesque

Were getting gally tops... Which would be good but still he wont be ready next year...Hes good and he will help our skill level and give us a # 1 center but if we can trade that pick with Franson for Brayden Schenn... Whos the brother of Luke, can play first line next year and has heart and grit. I would do that... I know hes not having a great year point wise but he will do better next year and he would fit in nice in our core group.

No way. B.Schenn is going to be a good hockey player, but he's going to cap out at a #2 center. We need a high-octane #1 center.
Besides, I'm weary of the intelligence of Schenns....

Kessel needs a guy with grit...that line needs a big body who can punish guys, work the corners and crash the net....HARD
- noename09

Brian Boyle from the Rangers is capable of doing that. I just don't want to sell the farm for an all-star center and then cheap out on a goalie.

Every Leaf's fan's wet dream would be to draft grigs/galy, sign Parise and trade for Nash...sigh, that would be sweet.

I hear ya...Im the number one campaigner for "Get a good goalie" ...but a guy *like* Getzlaf could do wonders. We could have a real captain for starters

From what I hear, it would probably take Grigs, Galy and Parise at least to land Nash from CBJ.

I'm not sure the big hangup on the number 1 center though.

Lupul/Kessel obviously don't need a number 1 center, just a guy with some defensive responsibility and faceoff prowess.

Our offense was pretty good before the collapse.

I prefer a big time goalie over a center right now.

- leafs93

I think the #1c allows us to have some more puck possession and allows the offense to set up in the opposition's zone. Kessel and Lupul are rush offense, which is deadly but easy to shut down.
Get a big center who can set up and control down low AND add the speed attack and then we'll win games.

its pretty obvious who Luke used to beat up growing up to practise for the NHL one day....mind you, the way he fights Brayden is likely just fine

I wonder what the asking price for him would be. The Ducks need to figure out their poop because Getz and Perry are UFAs after next year. Ryan's just a year behind too, no?

I was in fine form

Lasted about 3 pages on the thread

In short........ every Leaf captain of past has been shamed due to that giant turd

Remember when we saw Schenn as the future captain?! bahah, I was so young and naive then. Maybe if he can learn to spell his name without making the 'e's' backwards, he'd have a shot.

For a guy who is likely going to get a 2 mill a year raise? ouch.
(frank) it, draft one of the kids and give Parise the world.
