This really isnt a debate at all. The east is top heavy, the west is an overall better conference. Top to bottom the west is harder to play against. The Southeast division is a joke. And besides maybe Pittsburgh and Boston, there is not an eastern conf team that would be that successful in the west.

Since the creation of the east and the west conferences, the west is 9-8 winning the cup, tied 3-3 since the lockout, and the EC is 6-5 since the beginning of the new century.

I did some research and it turns out the top 8 teams in each conference are just as good as the top 8 teams in the KHL.

0-0-0 record, its a tie.

The numbers dont lie, personally Ill take Traktor over Vancouver anyday.
