It's horrible, just despicable. This should not be allowed in the new no violence or no contact allowed NHL. This basketball guy Bettman will make sure of it. The violence has to go, id say instead of dropping the gloves they play rock, paper, scissors instead. A much more amicable solution is it not?

honestly marty I kind of get where you're coming from but bottom line is the majority of fans love this stuff and so do the players.

I really don't see the big deal in willing guys going at it. De Boer is trying to set an aggressive tone and if Tortorella didn't want to participate he could have sent Gaborik on the ice.
