After Rolston 4 point night the bruins felt you needed another pick.

You must have gotten really bored waiting for Rolston to finally have a good game so you could type something like that.

As bad as it seems here, if the isles win the two games against the caps in regulation that they blew, they would be just 3 points out.

I never liked the Bailey pick from the get-go, as most didn't, but that draft didn't particularly spit out a lot of talent after the usual top few picks. You can't really fault the Islanders for missing on prospects that half or more of the league passed on also. Every year you see some amazing talent pan out that was drafted in the second half of the first round, that's just life. (Read: Giroux) If Filatov turned into the next Pavel Bure and the Isles passed on him to take Bailey, than I get it.

Bailey scores again... .. still one of the better back checkers on this team. I wonder how many points Bailey would have this year on the top line with Matt and JT?

I dont care if that stiff scores 100 points in the last 10 games of the season, I never want to see him in an isles jersey again.
- Isles_since_6

true dat... same thing I thought when Wallace scored a goal in 2 games in a row after we moved him... seriously.. ENJOY THAT BUM!!! ENJOY HIM!!

good friend of mine from Boston who lives for hockey hates Rolston with a passion already. He was optimistic when they got him.. LOL. He said the guy has missed so many wide open feeds it is incredible. getting top 6 minutes and single handedly killing the whole team. Enjoy him!!

I love it when the Bailey jock supporters come out and mention when he scores a goal but when he whiffs on wide open nets it's never mentioned.

Bailey has been playing on the wing the last month or so... a good career move considering all the Centers we have on this team and in the prospect ranks.

Bailey sucks bottome line. I mean woo hoo he scored give the guy a metal. Still gives upo the puck way to much and for about 79 out of the 82 games he is invisible

Well, he's not going anywhere since he's signed for next year...so might as well see if he can finally put it all together next season. 4 goals and 6 points in 10 games in March is a lot more consistent than he's been all year, but who knows with this guy if means he's starting to get it or if it's another small peak before a long valley. I still think he has the vision and enough talent to be a decent player. It's whether he ever gets it together upstairs that I'm not sure of. If he becomes a good player on the wing though, we can certainly use it.

Edit -- and if he doesn't put it together next year, the worst case scenario I guess is he gets dropped down to a defensive/pk role on the fourth line or whatever. There are certainly worse fourth liners in the league...heck, many of them played for us this year

I just can't buy into this kid for some reason. He only looks "good" when the Islanders are playing for nothing. I don't know if that's a coincidence or not but the only thing I see him "excelling" at is on the PK. Woo hoo!

Yeah, up to now, I agree...he's been a pretty big disappointment. It's very tough to argue otherwise. I still hold out some hope though. He can actually get to the net when he puts his mind to it. On this "perimeter" team, that's at least something if he can build off of it. But he's got a long way to go to prove he can do it.
