I agree. I was being sarcastic. The Bruins should be embarrassed that they employ a moron like Edwards.

To a certain extent NESN is at fault. They obviously want him to call games like that or they would tell him to stop or fire him. For those that can remember him calling games on ESPN, he was never even close to the caricature he is now. That said I think he is obviously amongst the worst in any sport to call a game right now.

John Buck and Troy Aikman win that battle if you ask me.

He did games on OLN/Versus as well for the first 2 or 3 years after the lockout. When he's not calling a Bruins game, he's actually okay. When he is calling a Bruins game, it's nails on a chalkboard.

Nantz and specifically Simms are worse.

I never understood that one. I don't think they're great by any stretch of the imagination, but there are definitely worse in the business. The only thing with Joe Buck is that sometimes he forgets to take his prozac and puts no emotion into the game whatsoever. It almost sounds like he doesn't want to be there, but you can clearly tell there's something wrong with him.

I feel like Nantz would be bearable with another color commentator. He doesn't do a bad job with the NCAA Tournament alongside Clark Kellogg.

Actually Buck has listened to that criticism via Twitter and has made efforts to be more excitable. I thought he was very good in the World Series, McCarver is still past his due date.

Yep, Nantz is in a tough spot with Simms. Simms consistently says things that just arent right and tries to pass it off as fact.

It will never happen, but if Gus Johnson ever did hockey games, it would be the best thing to happen to the game broadcast wise. I made a youtube video a while back dubbing his voice over a World Juniors game. I can't link it at work though.

If you remember, try and post it when you can, that would be pretty good.

Gary Thorne is the standard IMO for hockey.

Buck and Aikman make it so over the top clear who they want to win the game..

They would be like... "yea.. Rodgers throws a TD pass to Jennings for 6"

then 2 minutes later..

"WHOA WHAT A PLAY BY THE DERPS.. THEY COMPLETELY SLASHED AND GASHED THEM ON THAT PLAY.. OH BABY.."

Roy needs to go in the off-season. It just not working anymore here. Vanek on the other hand has to be hurt because weather he's playing good with a team mate or not, he finds ways to score. Like i said before keep 19 centering 29 and 26. It will come together!!

What about Tropp, love that kid!!

BTW any updates on Luke Adam??

I just tried linking it from my phone, but no avail (I suck at that sort of thing). Just search "Gus Johnson Hockey" and click the video next to my name. It should be one of the first hits.

I wouldnt be shocked if Vanek ends up getting some kind of surgery during the off season. He looks like he has been playing in pain, jmho. Roy has to go.

6-3 with regulation win over WAS gets us in?

There's too many variables to make that call. You also have to assume that Winnipeg keeps their current pace.

Tropp showed that he had some moves in his arsenal. I wasn't expecting that.

Vanek finally did something for the first time in like 10 games.. same with Pommer.

I hope they both stay hot now though and don't go away for another 10 games.

I can't believe I'm going to say this.. but it seems as though maybe Stafford'd off ice problems in addition to inconsistent linemates is why he is having such a bad year.

At this point. I saw we need to unload Vanek's contract and go HARD after Parise.

Parise - Hodge - Pommer
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford

I would be ecstatic to pay Parise 7M but not Vanek.

Parise's a very good player, but I have a hard time believing that he would live up to a massive $7 million contract. At this point, I wouldn't mind unloading Vanek's deal to bring in a guy like Parise, just for something different, but I'm hardly in "gotta do it" mode.

agree, if it's there - make a trade if you know it will improve your team. Priority should be moving Roy at the Draft and your set up nicely for alot of possibilities.

figure Hect, Boyes, Ellis are not on this team next year....

I honestly think Boyes is going to stay here i think they are going to give him a shot again obviously a much smaller contract

Ellis is signed to a one way deal for next year. Not that Pegula has an issue with burying salary in the minors. He also has to clear waivers in order to be sent to Rochester.
