He will probably end up in Jacksonville. It's his hometown, they are desperate to sell tickets so they don't have to move the franchise. Not to mention he would actually be an upgrade to what they have. Gabbert is brutal. - PLindbergh31
Tebowmania. I don't know why any team would give up a pick for him when you look at his contract for the next two seasons. Jacksonville committed a lot of money in Gabbert to just toss him to the side. Tebow would sell tickets but I wouldnt overpay for his services when everyone knows Denver is desperate to move him.

They did commit to him, but the NFL isn't a business where you can demonstrate patience. Tebow would sell the stadium out every game. That means a ton of revenue, and the local blackout gets lifted. It's tough to cultivate fans, when people in the city in which the team plays can't watch the games on television.

I honestly don't think getting Tebow sells out the building. I know he is an icon in Florida but they struggle in attendance in most sports. It seems to be more of a college football area then anything.

how would tebow sell out the stadium?
tebow isn't anything special and even if i were a jacksonville fan i wouldn't care to go seem him
the major reason why denver won their games was their defense not tebow

You are drastically underrating Tebow's following in Florida. It is enormous. He was a cult hero in High School, and College.
The Dolphins only sell out last year was against Denver.

I dont disagree about how Tebow is loved. I think that ends when the team underperforms. When you continue to lose games on a consistant basis it wont matter whos playing on the field. They need to create a winning culture to keep fans coming. There is a lot more to do in Florida than attend an NFL football game.

And in his first game in Jacksonville, he will proceed to go 1 for 11 for 2 yds. If he is their qb all year they might be setting NFL records for offensive futility

Bad statistics aside, he did take a team that started 1-4 to the playoffs. He went 8-5 as a starter, and won a playoff game. Sure he has a ton of flaws, but he's proven he can win games.

Maybe, time will tell. He can improve his accuracy. He does have an uncanny ability to make plays, especially in the 4th quarter.

Dont disagree. But Jacksonville's talent level isn't what the Broncos have. MJD is the Jaguars. They have absolutely nothing else. Their a terrible football team.

He's a gimmick that played well as a rookie. The way I see it, defenses don't normally gameplan for that type of a QB. If he plays that well as a 2nd year QB, I'll be impressed.

the real question is with the niners now that they publicly shunned smith

No question about it. Their personnel is among the worst in the NFL. If I was the Jags owner, and the 2 options were suck in an empty building, or suck in a full stadium and create some buzz, it's a no brainer.
