He is their leading goal scorer why should he fight a 4th line plug like Asham? I hope they go after your leading goal scorer and smash his face into the ice next game.
- KilladelphiaFlyers

They went after Malkin several times in that game and this season. I remember a time when Hatcher ripped Crosby's teeth from his mouth. That's all good as long as they do it to us and the favor is returned. Hartnell plays that role of enforcer when he is on the ice he gets involved in scrums and jumps people such as letang when he was engaged with Rinaldo. Don't female dog up when someone your own size confronts you. He deserved it and I enjoyed nothing more this season then watching him sit up with that brush burn on his face and that stupid look.

I remember saying 2 weeks ago we have no shot of catching the Rangers but it will be fun to try. Now they are 1 point ahead of us with 1 more game played and a head to head match up left. I'm concerned a little more with Philly to be honest. I feel like we are both headed upwards. Lesson learned yesterday about taking your foot off the gas. Philly played hard in the 3rd and got us involved in scrums. Malkin was very undisciplined. 2 dumb penalties and a turnover that led to a goal. Have to be smarter than that. Not to mention the troll who was crying about him missing his hit on Gereux has new ammunition Ha Ha!!

In theory! The guy is a mess though. I really wouldn't be interested in sitting next to a guy who we weren't good enough for a few weeks back despite how talented he is. I like Nashville as an organization hope this doesn't sink them this year.
- dbell646

I think you're misunderstood. The additions of gill and Ak didn't make radulov suddenly want to come back. There had been talk basically since he left. And even then he bolted because he had 1 year left at under a million in Nashville and the KHL was starting up and offered him a 600% raise. If I got offered six times as much to for less work and to be closer to home and family I would be very tempted to make that happen by any means necessary.

And the 2 guys Poile is trying to get to commit have been quite clear that not only do they harbor no ill will towards rads but they were close friends with him when he was in Nashville and still are pretty close to him. If guys like them and tootoo and legend welcome him with open arms the guys who weren't on the team when he left wi have little reason to not also accept him.

I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm not debating he would effect signing weber or Sutter by any means. I'm debating adding a piece that in the past has not been the best teammate during a playoff run. Also I think everyone is overrating this guy a little. He hasn't done anything at the NHL level. Ice is smaller guys are more physical and he's getting 10 games in then playoffs where the physicallity is stepped up. Who knows how he reacts if things don't go his way. Last time he left the country what will he do this time?

You are right...

That last head to head is key... At this point, either team can win the division without getting help from the other. Should be a fun 3 weeks of hockey

Funny...check the schedule. Flyers played one more game than Pens and Rangers.

71 games apiece for NYR and Pittsburgh

I am looking forward to this like I look forward to a day at the DMV. This is going to be rough for NY, unless they straighten out their game in a hurry.

Wow....so mad. teenage years are tough i guess.....time for mommy to up the xanax.

I read the philly board. the last couple of years the fans hated Hartnell. People were actually wishing he'd have career ending injury to get out of his contract. now he's a fan favorite.....all I can say is 1974. such a long, long time ago....

It's all going to be decided the last weekend of the season. Rags (Game 81) and Flyers (game 82)

Despite yesterday's loss, it was a good weekend for the Pens. 5/6 points in 3 road games in 4 days against those 3 teams. A good weekend indeed.

What exactly is the risk again? A risk would be giving up a 1st round pick for a rental like Gaustad who is prone to missing time with injury, that is a risk.

I am not the one that said he has lacked success in the NHL. I gave a concrete stat that would show he has indeed been somewhat productive in an NHL playoff setting.

I agree. The only thing may be the chemistry factor in blending with the team. Preds look solid.

The risk is the chemistry of a winning club. Someone who helped you all season long is losing their roster spot because thie diva wants to come back to the NHL. I'm not sure what went on with his russian team because I don't particularly care but I'm assuming they missed the playoffs or he is unhappy about what they serve for lunch. Who knows. He had 2 descent years at the NHL level 4 years ago that is a fact. He has been playing in Russia where the game is different that is a fact. I just don't get the infatuation that's all. The guy clearly isn't the type of player I want to go to work with.

I have that feeling as well. Any way you look at it 2 teams get boned. 3 top points getting teams in the east and 2 will ahve to square off for a 1st round match up. Can you imagine a 7 game series like the game we played yesterday? We would be easy pickings in round 2

“Obviously he’s a great player and any time there’s a player like that you can add to the team you want to,” defenseman Ryan Suter said. “It should be a good thing if it’s true.”

Captain Shea Weber had a similar assessment: “Everyone knows what a good player he is and how dynamic he is and what he’s able to do with the puck. He adds another element and adds some depth and some exciting play.”
