That was a good game. Some dirty, chippy stuff, but I expected that with a good rivalry like this. Tbh though, I think we win that game more than we lose. Bryz was on his game tonight and was just plain better than Flower today. Can't wait to see this playoff matchup and hopefully after round 1 - ikyan
I think this game will be a good teaching moment if we meet in the playoffs... The Pens need to keep their emotions in check and avoid getting drawn into emotional penalties (Letang).
Keep out of the scums, and just stick to your game. |

Can't wait. Hoping for a pens win in overtime. Huge real world and fantasy ramifications for me in that game. - schiefer466
I just completed a Predators write up on Poile, he has done quite the job in the last few months. |

Not a great game by the flyers whatsoever but I will take the two points.
Some of your fans crack me up. Tell me you guys wouldn't love to have Hartnell on your team.
I would take Malkin in a heartbeat despite him being a dirty player.
I don't have a problem with Kunitz he does his job.
If Hartnell had done what Kunitz did in their scrum the indignation would have been in full force.
That's what makes the games fun.
I hope these two teams don't meet up in the first round. The series could go either way. - bird_dog
I'd take Hartnell in a heartbeat... I hate him, but love him at the same time.
I was really surprised that Kunitz only got two minutes in all that... I guess they didn't want to put a team down a man, but you'd think he'd at least get 10 for totally disregarding any effort the linesmen were putting in to getting him out of there lol. |

I've said in the past that's one of the many things I admire about the Red Wings. That team is all business and they avoid being goaded into that crap. I think the Pens will def learn from that game.....it's been awhile since they had one of those chippy games. Malkin has largely kept his emotions in check this year but we got a little look at the old, undisciplined Malkin yesterday.

Hartnell diregarded the refs as well. After being tossed by Neal I think he went back into the scrum. There was nothing there the refs made the right calls |

Hartnell does stuff after the whistle constantly and will only engage smaller players. He and Asham came together at one point and I know they are former teammates but he was quick to get out of there. He also avoids Engelland like the plague. But he is quick to get in Letang or Martins face. Kunitz did what every Pen has wanted to do for years. I had no problem with Kunitz response it was the rest of the team I had issues with. That being said to answer the question from earlier I would take Hartnell in a minute. A player that draws that amount of attention from us and scores 35 is welcome on my team anytime. |

Whiny exagerations like that make you look like an idiot... The officiating in that game was pretty good. - rival22
Leave it to a Flyers fan to whine about bad officiating when they actually got more time on the PP. I saw more than a handful of chances to even up the PP time....if anything the Pens had reason to be pissed.
What makes him look like and idiot is he doesn't realize that players with reps like Hartnell never get the benefit of the doubt. Most of us see the liberties taken on Matt Cooke (largely deserved) and I'm never surprised when he gets no consideration from the ref. |

Right or wrong several flyers get called for penalties on reputation alone. Rinaldo gets called for charging etc for legal hits, Hartnell gets goalie interference calls for getting shoved into the goalie.
Call what is a penalty not on reputation.
The officiating across the whole NHL is horrible and most fans female dog about the non calls or bad calls. It's part of being a fan. |

Why are people obsessed with Radulov? He has never accomplished anything at the NHL level and has been a problem everywhere he goes. And he's russian so we know he's sof |

You'll get no arguments from me on this. However I will inform you that those same things happen to every team. We probably lead the league in disallowed goals for interferring with the goaltender. |

Hartnell is one of the best values out there. For his cap hit and what he brings, hes def a solid all around player. Probaly the only Flyer other than Giroux I would take. Did Talbot play yesterday? I never notice him when I watch Flyers games. |

He has ridiculous offensive skill. The Predators lack a player of his ilk, and they do not have to give anything up to acquire it. It is indeed a big deal. He must not be a bum because Ken Holland is none too happy about him joining the Preds.

Furthermore, there arent many teams better defensively than the Preds. His addition is perfect for them.

One really bright spot for the Pens this weekend, was their play by the defensemen. It's obvious what Letang brings - I can't remember seeing a d-man get from the hashmarks to eliminating odd man rushes like he does... but up and down the lineup, they've been good. I have become a huge Matt Niskanen fan, has he gotten beat on a one-on-one this year? |

In theory! The guy is a mess though. I really wouldn't be interested in sitting next to a guy who we weren't good enough for a few weeks back despite how talented he is. I like Nashville as an organization hope this doesn't sink them this year. |

We should have had even MORE time on the pp the refs missed way too much. Of course Pens fans never have problem with the Refs cause they all have hard ons for the Pens |

The guy is about to win his 2nd MVP in 3 years. Yes obviously the KHL can't hold a candle to the NHL, but if you are playing in a league, you might as well be the best, and that he has been. |

He is their leading goal scorer why should he fight a 4th line plug like Asham? I hope they go after your leading goal scorer and smash his face into the ice next game. |

Great that's like being the batting champ for AAA. Morozov also does well in the KHL. Not saying he is going to be a bust I'm saying adding a piece with the history he has had with the organization at this time is dangerous. What if he comes in and throws all of the chemistry off? Could happen. |
