It's a trap. She will throw it in your face in the near future. It will end up being something like her lamenting about not going out with her friends or something, and citing your road trip with Dan as an example of how she makes all the sacrifices and you don't, and then she'll leverage it to guilt you into doing something for her.
You could decline the consent and stay home, but she'll simply tell you that it's not her fault you stayed home, and that you should have gone.

Dan, the guilt trip from a wife is one of those inexhaustible tokens that once you think you've "paid your debt", she uses it again and again, as though the first thing she guilted you into doing never happened.
It's not about voluntarily doing stuff, it's all the stuff you're forced to do against your will.

As a consequence of their association, the Alouettes' have added Tebow to their "confidential negotiation list," meaning that should he ever join the CFL, they have an exclusive option on his rights.
