Komi hasn't played the same since then, that's his point.
- Rayven

I don't think this is true.

Komi has battled lots of injuries. When healthy, he's reliable. He isn't a superstar but I still would take him on my team any day.

Kaberle is a decent puck mover. He makes too many defensive mistakes. The Leafs have other good defensemen who can make up for those mistakes.

Komisarek would be a good addition for the Habs. Big and can play a physical brand of hockey.

- thomas81

Yes, plus as a fan, I'd be closer to throw car batteries at him. Win/win situation.

Explain how both teams will lose?

Both have had their struggle. A change of scenery would certainly benefit both players.

- thomas81

How would it be a change of scenery? Both players would be returning to places where they played for a long time and, for differing reasons, were largely derided and now (especially in Komisarek's case) despised.

Doesn't sound like a change of scenery, more like letting the old 'country club' mentality back into the Leafs dressing room (if it's not there again already), and (from the Habs' perspective) taking back your ex-girlfriend who dumped you for a guy because his 2006 Camry was in slightly better shape than your 2004 Camry... And only after she had gotten fat, like Rick's wife.

Not sure I'd pair him with Schenn. Maybe Franson instead.

Both mobile. Franson is a big guy and he shoots right. Kabs is a left shot.

- thomas81

Schenn also shoots right though, which is why I thought it'd work.

This was your quote:

My point was that giving up 49 goals in 16 games and being pulled from 3 of them is hardly phenomenal.

- stormey

This year has nothing to do with last year. He's struggled this year, no doubt.

Last year he had 20 wins in 37 games with a 2,60 GAA and a ,921 SP. Those are pretty good stats. No doubt he can get back to that level.

He single handedly turned Komi into the wussy that he is, ya Komi is physical alright, when the (frank)ing whistle blows and the forward is half his size. The guy is a mere shadow of himself before Lucic changed his life.
- pete26

You obviously dislike the guy personnally. You think that would make your point of view biased?

2.60 is pretty high for a GAA, but the SP is dazzling. No reason Reimer can't return to the elite from from last season.

Kaberle would love to get a chance to finish his career in TO. I'd love to see him back.

Komisarek was like a king in Montreal. Habs fans turned on him when he signed in TO. Not sure what the problem is.

Actually, I was a big fan of him and kinda upset that he didn't resign in MTL, now I'm quite happy where he is. If he's so great, why would you want to part with him?

Well no. He's obviously overpaid but so is Kaberle which is why I proposed the deal in the first place.

Let's face it, both of these players don't have much trade value right now.

Habs fans don't want him back because he betrayed them. He doesn't really make the team any better.

Kaberle might love to finish his career in Toronto, but I don't see where he fits in the grand scheme of things... I guess he'd be good at mentoring the young dmen to as irresponsible defensively as he is?

If you want an overpaid, lazy, soft offensive defenseman, Sergei Gonchar might be available this offseason
