I think he's gonna be a serviceable player for years to come, somewhat overpaid for what he provides, but not an anchor weighing down the team in the same way that the other two are....

I don't know that Montreal will do the same next season, but like I said, it depends on those contracts and what they are able to do with them.
As for Subban, you said average first, and that is incorrect IMO. He may not end up being elite, but he will be just below if not.

To me, average is a good NHL defenseman. Nothing wrong with that. I think you are pretty accurate in that he will be just below elite. I personally think it won't be THAT close, but whatever.

He single handedly turned Komi into the wussy that he is, ya Komi is physical alright, when the (frank)ing whistle blows and the forward is half his size. The guy is a mere shadow of himself before Lucic changed his life.
