Yea, Begin worked his ass off every shift too. When the skills aren't there, they aren't there. He shouldn't be a first line player. 22-25 goals, 45 points is a GREAT 3rd liner.

Plek is the 2nd line center and the Habs don't have the money to go out and get 2 second line wingers. With Price and Subban up for new contracts, the MAJOR need to upgrade the defense (2 D's needed), I think the Habs will get one top 9 winger, Bourque and Gionta will most likely be on the 2nd line, the Habs will still fight for the 8th spot in the conference if the team stays healthy, if not they will have another good run at a lottery pick.

He's a one hit wonder in a contract year. This season's Bergenheim or JP Dumont. If the habs sign him it will be a disaster. If they don't, it will be a circus.

edit: and I'd love to drop Gionta to the 3rd line too.....

Habs will draft Forsberg, LW, 6'2, 182lbs, plays pro in Sweden. The Habs have 3 decent prospects coming up on D (Tinordi, Ellis and Beaulieu) but look at the forward prospects coming up, it sucks outside of Gallagher. This high first round pick should be for a forward IMO.

If he doesn't make the team, he will surely be one of the first call up from Hamilton in case of injury. Wouldn't hurt him to play at least half a season in the AHL to get stronger.
