Players will still make the same amount of money even if the cap is reduced slightly. A 50/50 sharing would have the cap around 61 million which is only 2 million less than the actual cap.

CAp is at 57 ... I doubt they get 50%. The way they talk about it... it will be reduced... I'd say mid way is the best way to look at it. 53-54%

They also have to look at the cap floor. In 2004, the floor was $21.5 million. This season, it was $43.4 million. A lot of small market teams can't afford that. As the revenues go up, the floor will eventually reach $50 million which isn't going to help the markets that are struggling.
